Living the Dream

This is my first attempt at a piece of creative writing. Please keep this in mind when criticising it.

This piece, "Living the Dream" is based an a situation myself, Diamond, Titus and Moonlight have concocted. Please note this situation is COMPLETELY FICTIONAL.

Chapter One - Familiar Faces

I sauntered into the countryside. I was in a country I've never been to before...and meeting friends I've never seen. Being a solitary city boy, this was the most unknown territory imaginable. I wandered in the empty, vast expansive area before me. A feeling of love swept straight past me, for although I was lost, I had purpose for being here. The three most important people in my life lay hidden in this wasteland.
"Two words spring to mind..." I said to myself, "...Needle, and Haystack. I'll never find them!" I looked around. And I saw absolutely nothing I could relate to whatsoever compared to my home back in England. Four thousand miles from family...just four or so from my friends. One of them, I held close to my heart, for she was my girlfriend. As pathetic as I know I sound, I wanted her and her friends (Titus and Jessica) more than anything else in the world. I daydreamed of her to pass the time...
And at that exact point, a girl walked past me. She was talking to a friend on her mobile phone. It made me think I was abandoned forever, until I heard her laugh. That unmistakeable laugh. It was her!
"Dia! Dia!" I shouted. "Over here!" She looked around, with a bewildered look. She couldn't believe her eyes. And neither could I. I had been here for hours upon end, searching for any of my three treasured ones. She took me miles away from my arrival point...though, that being said, it felt much more akin to a distance of light-years. Texas is the same landscape over and over again, not to say it's not magnificent though.
After an excruciatingly long period of time, I arrived at a speck of civilisation in the centre of a white and yellow scorching void. Dia walked up to the door of the ramshackle building to reveal a decorative, modern house to suit our gaming obsessions. It was perfect except for...
"Titus! Jessica! You have a visitor!" Dia shouted.
"Who is it?" Jessica yelled in return.
"Oh, just my boyfriend...remember the name Philip?"
They rushed out to me at the door...with unexplainable shock in their eyes.
Four best friends, two loving couples. Could this get any better? I think not.

I love it! Just one complaint: Don't post other people's names on the internet without asking them first. Otherwise, it's positively wonderful. I wish it was real.*huggles* I knew you could write happy things!

Chapter Two - What's Wrong with Horseplay?

After eventually finding my treasures, I spent an hour or so observing the home they have called their own. It was fantastic! It was, just lke everything else thus far, my dream. Very decorative, very modern, very technological. The place was littered with game consoles, and even the odd poster...I must remember to buy something of my own.
"Hey, Philip!" Titus called. "Ready for this?"
"Ready for wha-" Before I even finished my sentence, I was tackled by Jessica, Dia, and Titus. "So this is the ninja glomp you guys told me about..." I was enjoying the little pile-up, albeit rather tricky to breathe, but I daren't say inhospitable about this embrace.
Once I recovered from that shock, I continued to look around this heavenly abode. Still perfection, in my eyes. Everywhere, there was merchandise from Nintendo. I even saw a remote control Mario Kart...which Jessica found funny to drive around me repeatedly. Then Diamond took Peach's and Titus had Luigi's. "Very funny guys, now let me out...please?"
I stepped outside into the surprisingly fresh air with Dia at my side to see if they was anything else to offer...but then, I was taken down by a miniscule memory. "Mischief! You're here?" Turns out behind the house was an extravagant ranch, I almost swore there was a menagerie in there. Although my name does mean "Lover of Horses" in Greek, I had never worked with animals before, so I'm pretty much an outsider, but thinking about it, I was in the American countryside - what else would be there out here in the middle of a beautiful nowhere?
"Shoo, Mischief, shoo!" said Jessica sweetly. "Sorry about that, Philip. He got excited at seeing you I suppose."
"His excitement pinned me to the floor! I didn't know animals can glomp too..."
I counted the animals housed in the ranch. Ten? No. Twenty? No. Thirty? Keep going... Forty? That's more like it. This would seemingly take many more people than just us four, but you never know. Besides, I said I was a novice with animals, so try not take my word for things on that front.
One side, a rustic animal enclosure...the other, a technological 21st century wonderland...in the middle, the three people I care for most. I know I'll enjoy my time here!

Chapter Three - A Change of Suit

Now that I had introduced to the animals, I think it was time for something modern. We all shared an obvious common interest - gaming. (To be honest, I didn't think this was true...I mean...gamer girls? Really?) I thought it was time to see who was best.
"Well...what are you all good at?" I asked.
There was a very long period of silence after I asked this question which was only broken by Diamond's sweet voice whispering "Well...anything to do with Zelda, really." I was going to ask why she was so shy...but I found out soon enough. "What do you think of me?"
Originally, I saw no reason for her to ask me that, for she was my girlfriend after all...turns out she wasn't on about personality at all. She walked out wearing a pink dress...I recognised it! She was wearing Peach's convention dress! Soon after, Jessica walked out in an outfit similar to Zelda's dress, and Titus took the rear in Link's famed green clothing.
"Well?" asked Jessica. "Where's your outfit?"
"What am I-"
"There's a pattern, you goober," interrupted Diamond.
Jessica and Titus...as Zelda and Link...what could it be? ...Well, isn't it obvious?
"Give me a second, guys." I darted into my bedroom to change into a video game character's costume.
A few minutes later..."I'm ready!" I walked down wearing a Mario suit. Overalls and all. "Hello my princess..." I said with a smile. Seeing Diamond's face light up was a sight to see, for it could light the darkest night. I'm sure Titus felt similarly about Jessica.
Now that we were so extravagantly dressed...(despite the fact only we thought we looked cool)...we sat outside together under the stars. Everything so far was perfect. Diamond beside me, a beautiful starry night sky, peace and quiet, and my two other closest friends enjoying each other's company.
So peaceful...
