Okay, yeah ... First time I've ever moved in my life. It's not quite a done deal yet, but all mom is waiting on is the banker to accept her credit score. Only bad thing is, we'll be moving halfway through my Senior year. So much for graduating with people I know. ^_^"
Anyone else moved before? Tips, pros and cons?
I'll be moving about two hours south, so I can at least come back and see my friends/steal them for the weekend. However, I'm not so sure about the internet quality, or even internet at all. It's twenty minutes north of one of the biggest cities in Texas. But the town itself doesn't even have a population count. So ... I'm seriously hoping we can still have DSL out there. >_>

Well, some pros about this move: - 16 acres of land.
- A pole barn for the horses.
- I get a bigger room!
- Bigger house in general.
- We get to see the horses every day.
Cons: - We're still keeping my father's psychotic cat. >_>
- Moving during the middle of my senior year.
- Questionable internet accessibility and quality.

MONDAY! Oh, I'm going to miss you! I guess you won't be going back to volleyball any more. *nervous laugh* *sigh* At least you got me on SoJ and we can communicate pretty much everyday here!
Yes, I have moved before.
Tips: 1) Be pretty detailed about what you write on the boxes. There were several times when I was surprised to find iteams unrelated to the description given hidding in the box.
2) Even though they are family they are not professional movers. We had several things broken or misplaced because of helpful family members.
3) Drill it into peoples heads what stuff you want to take and what you want to throw away. (Not literally, but make sure they get the point.) Make sure that the stuff you want to get rid of is seperated completely from the stuff you want to keep.
4) It is best to keep favorite things or necessities all in one box. Also, make sure they are packed in an easy to access kind of way. That way you can have all that you need/want unpacked before you go to bed in the new house.
5) MAKE A LIST FOR EVERYTHING! This is the number one, most important rule for moving. Keep a list for what you need to pack for the animals and check each iteam off once it has been packed and when it has been unpacked. That way nothing gets lost, forgotten, or stolen.
It's rough moving, but it is way worth the effort. Hopefully, we can vist each other! I can't wait to see where you're living at and when we get this new house of ours fixed up and moved in I'd love to have you over! Hope everything goes well! ;D

Hehe, yeah, I agree. Busy, busy. But, yeah, sadly we won't be able to play volleyball anymore unless we do it at each others houses. But the SoJ thing is good. Its awesome being able to talk to you so often.
*nods* I'm glad I don't have many plushies or figurines, though. Managed to get everything neatly in one box, save for my giant polar bear one.
But yeah, that looks like some good advice. Lets see how much we can keep to, eh? (Mom used to move around a lot when she was a kid, so she shouldn't have much trouble doing that.)

Sorry for the double post, but I may or may not be able to come online tomorrow. And after that, I'll be without internet up to two weeks. I do hope to be back ASAP, though! *Huggles everyone.*

If you're that close to a big Texas city, you probably shouldn't have problems with Internet. Course, by the time you get it back, school will be starting up again. It's pointless to write much more, as you can't read any of it now . Oh well, good luck .
