Don't feel like googling any of this, sooo...
What are they about? On the covers, there are only Pokemanzz, does that mean no trainers are included in the game? Is the plot any good? I'm a sucker for the plot, so what's it about? And what about the gameplay: extensive, amusing, boring, what?
And the soundtracks? How are the songs? And the graphics, are they developped?
What about the available Pokemanzz? Do you have a lot to choose from or are you very limited?
Are the Mystery Dungeon games worth it? :/

Ah, I love these games! Basically, in both games, you are a human with amnesia who has been turned into a random pokemon based on your personality.
In the first ones, Red and Blue, you are trying to save the world from being destroyed.
In the second batch, Time, Darkness, and Sky, you're a different human trying to save the world from a different fate.
In both games you form a "Rescue Team" to help people in need and to earn money and items. But all the games are very plot driven. Though after you win, the plot still continues!
I recommend the first ones, which I've beaten several times. In my book, they are definately worth the investment.

Alrighty then, I guess I'll go for red and blue? If I took it right, the plot's very extensive and it has many hours of gameplay, right? That's good. I'll consider it (: Thanks

Anytime! I played through as a Bulbasaur and a Skitty. Oh, and if you don't have a saved game, the opening cinematic is unskippable. Just a headsup.

*Smiles.* You absolutely cannot miss out on both generations of Mystery Dungeon for Pokemon. Red/Blue (respectively ADV/DS) are the crowning entrance for the genre into the pokemon world. Their plot is not quite as extensive as the full DS-trio, but still wonderful plays. I've beaten Red three times [charmander, cyndaquil, and bulbasaur] and am now playing through as an eevee.
Now I'm ploughing through Sky, arguably the best one of all five. Time/Darkness are Sky's little sisters/brothers, being that Sky was an improvement and extension of plotlines and characters. Sky informs of backstories of lesser characters, and delves into those more so of the important ones.
Dia-chan explained the basic plotlines fairly accurately, but my recommended games are definitely: Red/Blue & Explorers of Sky.[/i]

Okay then, if I had to buy one based on the character development, gameplay time and plot depth, which one should I buy?

I say Red or Blue. They seemed the most character dependent. They were by far my favorites, though Sky is a close second!

Red & Sky.
You can find a cheap copy of Red on a used game site, since its for the ADV, and get a new copy of Sky and enjoy the best of both worlds. Just my suggestion, though.

Alrighty then, I have a bunch of things to pay for for the moment, but when I do get my hands on some spare cash (I do wonder if I ever will, though :/) I'll know what to buy (:

I know how you feel. Trying to get my Gamestop giftcard to work online, anyway, so I can get a gamecube game before we move. Not sure how to do so, though. Hmm ...
