No, he just wants to be in control, lol. It's sorta had to explain... It even confuses me sometimes and I'm the author!

Ha, ha, I guess that's Moon, and we love her that way! XD
Ah, I have a character that wants a total utopia and he is by far the easiest character I've written. (still not scary though just psycho.)
I think characters who want total control or like to manipulate others are the hardest characters to write. You really don't have a solid motive other than they just like to hurt people, so I can see where it gets confusing.

Well, I do have characters like that. But Rowen's phrasing of the situation is confusing me. In my novel Dragonheart, I have my main villain (thus far) seeking to create a utopia. It is already eight years in the making, and he has eliminated anyone whom gets in the way. He is also a bit of a control freak, and since he has absolute control over the main protagonist, it will invoke some serious Nightmare Fuel and Fridge Horror for readers that dwell on that fact.
The way that Rowen is saying, Stephan is a "nice guy with good intent, but bad ways of doing it". But at the same time, she's saying he wants to "take over the world". There is a difference between domination and creating a utopia.
Just my two cent's worth, though.

This is just a general thing I've learned over being an aspiring author: If you cannot explain it or you say "If you read the book, it will make sense", you are doing something wrong. I'm not saying that the story is bad, but authors should always know the answer to the questions. If they don't, they need to find it. It something that bugs the heck out of me, so I figured it would help my issues with explaining if I tried to explain this.
Note: I am not saying that if you can't explain it, it is a bad thing, but you need be able to figure it out.
Related comment: If someone criticizes, do not try to explain it away. This is something I also have trouble with. If you don't agree with it, just nod and say "Okay." Explaining it away makes them less likely to offer a helpful piece of advice again.

Yeah, I have the same problem. I'll try telling them that, "Well, with this and this like it is then it should be like that." Normally, they are less likely to read what I give them next time. (Except my sister. She is as stuborn as heck and will argue with me untill I see it's wrong. love you Ichigo. ) I normally just tell myself to shut up and write the suggestions/questions down so that I make things clearer in my revisions. It's really frustrating though when things are near perfect and then someone brings up something like this. I always get miffed.

Well, you're right, Dia-Chan. I'm kinda confused about what his intentions and purposes really are so sadly the book is on hold:(

Well, I do understand that part. I've got a definite novel idea planned, but I can't really start on it until I work out the details of what my main antagonist is wanting. (... Besides to induce Fridge Horror on every one of the readers that dwells on what happens.)

Haha, yeah, I've started it and are about 100 pages in, but I can't go any farther till I figure that detail out. Oh well, writers block for that gave me idea for the first short story in a set of three maybe four. I love Fallen bad boy angels trying to get redeemed, lol.
