The young woman's molten silver gaze was colder than ice as she regarded Seymour, pushing herself up the wall - Detesting that he looked down on her, like one would a rat. Standing at her full height, she could see he was still taller than she. But her resilience lessened their physical differences when it came to strength. Even bound, she suspected that he was slower than her, living his pampered lifestyle.
A small smirk curved his lips. "Is that so, Sauda?" he queried softly, a brow slowly arching at the thief's skepticism. She would be in for a rude awakening should she challenge him. But whether he was answering her thoughts or her previous response was undetermined ... Gaining a calm nod in response, either way.
The Marquee's ice blue gaze flicked briefly towards Solomon, observing the ranger and his swords in an almost bored manner. "If you've so much energy ... then perhaps we should begin detailing your task."

Solomon felt like smiling when, after a brief silence, Seymour sounded amused and a tad smug. Sauda must've said something irritating just to try and tick him off. The thief had guts, to say the least. Working with her would prove to be extremely interesting...
The ranger's head snapped up when he was addressed, coming to attention out of habit more than out of respect for Seymour. He nodded curtly at the marquee's statement, clearly saying that he was ready for a mission and the details for it.
(sorry for all the shortness... not a lot of action going on yet XP)

(OOC: It's all right, Zora-chan, XD. It'll get interesting real fast in a few posts.)
The blonde Marquee glanced back to the bound thief after a moment, well aware of her icy glower. Ignoring it. "I have received intelligence that Etiri is planning a full onslaught on the boarder. Coupling with the lesser treatment of many locations in the country, it has assembled more than enough reason to move before our own are slaughtered. Your task, is to eliminate the source of the problem," Seymour said, pausing for a moment to allow that to sink in. For them to mull over his orders.
"Namely ... Sire Fraener himself."
Sauda's eyes narrowed slightly at the added name. Not worried. Not angered. But dubious and distrustful. He was to send them to assassinate royalty - of the most guarded personnel on the world - at the drop of a hat? Strong suspicion told her that he would not be taking the fall if they were caught. Being caught meant either a swift execution, or a prolonged and tortuous death. And it would spark a war.

Solomon crossed his arms, eyes narrowing--not in anger or mistrust, but in concentration as Seymour spoke about the intelligence he'd gathered. After he finished, he paused to let them 'wiggle in anticipation'.
Just tell us, already, the ranger thought boredly. The Marquee had a love of theatrics that the two men definitely did not share. Solomon had always been straight-forward and blunt, whereas Seymour's place of power required dipolomacy and tact.
Solomon twitched infintessimally at the mentioned man's name. So, that was their target... extremely difficult, but not impossible. A bit of a challenge... and a chance to see Sauda work. He glanced at her, his fingers tapping at his crossed arm absently. She seemed... mistrustful, as she should be.
"When do we leave?" the ranger asked tiredly, placing his fingers upon his temple. He knew it was futile to argue.

The ranger was direct, impatient. Seymour's ice blue gaze briefly flicked to the archer, before returning to Sauda. Observing the suspicious thief for a moment, before continuing on. "On the morrow, in the evening," the Marquee returned coolly, ever composed. "Seeing as it will take over a moon to arrive on foot, you had best begin early. And seeing as there may be detours ... It allows time to risk."
The thief's eyes narrowing at the mention of possible detours, jaw clenching. Oh yes. Send them off trotting around the countryside to be his dog. As if they did not have a large enough task to focus on. What joy.
Seymour's brow wryly arched as she made no effort to hide the sarcasm, a vague amusement flitting through his eyes. She would be an interesting one. One that needed to learn respect, yes ... But interesting to deal with nonetheless. "If you are through, Sauda, perhaps we may move onto the details of your task."

As the Marquee's gaze settled sharply upon him for a moment, Solomon shrugged noncommittally before listening to his orders. Sure, he knew he could be a pain in the ass, but he always got whatever dirty job Seymour wanted done--usually exemplary at it, too. At the mention of detours, the ranger barely held back a scoff, but it seemed the feminine thief's thoughts beat him to it. Seymour sounded as if he was answering a remark of hers.
Solomon, not able to help it, snickered quietly behind his hand, the other crossed over his chest. He stifled it extremely quickly and coughed, averting his gaze from either the Marquee or Sauda to prevent other outbursts. She really was going to be a riot to work with... and at that, he became somber once more. If only he'd had to power to prevent more lives from becoming controlled by this puppeteer, Seymour the sorcerer-tyrant. Solomon sighed, bangs fluttering, and he became quiet and despondent again.
Hope and humor were not things to be had in such dark times, after all.

The Marquee coolly ignored Solomon's thought of him being a tyrant, knowing that the simple ranger could not hope to grasp his plans. Sacrifices would have to be made in order to achieve it, after all. And whomever stood in the way would become one of them.
Turning back to the thief after a moment, he continued - knowing that the ranger would listen out of habit. "In order to complete your task, you will be relying on each others skills and competence. As one might expect, the level of security will be high. And loose ends are not to be left unattended," the nobleman added, giving Solomon a sideways glance. He knew the capabilities of the Tempero. But they did not.

Solomon nodded in sync with Seymour's instructions. A difficult mission, eh? A little challenge was just what the ranger needed to warm up and hone his skills a bit. It had been a little while since he'd had something challenging enough to keep his talents sharp... he glanced at Sauda, wondering again at her abilities. Would she be able to keep up with him? Or, better yet, to be a friendly rival in skill? He smirked at the thought of trying to best the woman. Being able to hold things above the thief's head would more than likely seriously annoy her, giving Solomon sadistic entertainment.
He nodded at the mention of loose ends, knowing that it meant that Solomon had free reign to kill those who were witnesses or intelligent snoopers. He just hoped it wasn't too many of them... though he wasn't utterly opposed to assassinating others, he didn't like the rise of deaths because of his own two hands.

The young woman simply stared back at Seymour when the Marquee fixed her with a level gaze, her own facade controlled and nigh emotionless. Rather annoyed still at being the equivalent of the nobleman's puppet, obviously enough, although not to the point that she would purposely ignore him - missing something important would get her caught, no doubt. And of course, Seymour would take none of the blame.
A small smile quirked his lips. The blonde glanced back at Solomon once more, his fingers idly laced behind his back. "Supplies will be prepared when it is time to set out, although you are to keep in mind that fresh horses will not be provided at every town. Attracting attention to yourselves is hardly part of the agenda, after all."
