These rules have been written to make everyone's time here simpler; for both members and the staff. Respect the rules and abide by them.
~ Rules ~
I. No SPAMing. For a definite definition of SPAM, see linked thread.
II. Flaming and bashing another member is disallowed. If you don't agree with their point of view, their ideas, etc; be civil about it. There is a fine line between healthy debate and discussion and simply being an arse. If you cannot be respectful of them, do not say anything at all.
III. ENGLISH is the dominate language in the SoJ Community, not Gibberish. This means paragraphs, punctuation, spelling, grammar, the whole works. TYPING IN ALL CAPITALS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED, as it is seen as shouting and is generally be frowned upon - Not only is it rude, it is hard on the eyes. To clarify further, usage of 'chatspeak' is not allowed. 'u' is not a valid substitute for 'you', 'r' is not a valid substitute for 'are', and vacuum is not a valid substitute for a brain.
IV. Double, Triple, Quantiple, et cetera, posting is not allowed. Use the modify/edit button. The sole exception is if you're bumping a topic that has fallen behind with new information pretaining to this topic. Art/Writing topics may also be double/triple/whatever posted by the artist/author to post new material - but only by the topic's creator.
V. In addition to the rules and definition in the Rules and Regulations, which apply globally to the SoJ Forums as a whole, each individual board may have its own set of "local" rules and regulations. These must be respected, in reference to their particular board, just as much as the rules in this thread.
VI.[/b][/i] It is generally advisable to use common sense when posting in general, but common sense is not entirely so common anymore. To clarify there will be absolutely no Hentai/Porn here, nor shall there be theft - Be it of art, sprite, or fiction. If it occurs, it will be dealt with accordingly.
~ Enforcement ~
I. Enforcement of the rules shalt be executed by the Administrators and Moderators of SoJ alone. We hold the right to take whatever action - or not to take whatever action - against violators of these rules and policies. Therefore, if you have any requests for us to look into things - you may PM us and inform us or use the report button. However, please do not try to police the board yourselves. That's what we're here for.
... In other words, when you see a SPAM thread, don't go around posting "This is SPAM." Report it to make us aware of it and we'll take care of it.
II. This is important: Age isn't an excuse for anything. Do not even THINK about trying to weasel out of breaking the rules by saying 'I'm only a child!' or 'I am just 12!' or 'I am not a doctor, I am only 5 years old!'. We were children too and we had the common sense to read the rules and abide by them. If you don't, that is therefore your own problem.
III. In addition - it is an important thing to point out that the staff of this board reserve the right to warn or ban any offenders as we see fit. Sometimes, quality control is needed to make sure SoJ remains what it is intended to be.
~ Conclusion ~
Respect these simple rules, and abide by them. We of the staff truly hope that you enjoy your time here at SoJ, and enjoy yourself when posting. Just bear in mind the consequences of breaking the rules.
