Name:[/b] Aaron Metin Ryo
Age:[/b] 20
Gender:[/b] Male
Race:[/b] Human
Homeland: [/b]Tycoon
Appearance:[/b] He stands roughly 5’11, weighing close to 134 pounds. His frame is somewhat slight, yet still masculine and muscular. Aaron is lightly tanned, though that is often hidden by the shadow of his hat. The Red Mage’s eyes are a pale crystal blue, almost resembling vivid aquamarines. His pale blonde tresses are rather long considering he isn’t a noble, and are drawn into a short queue at the nape of his neck. The fringe at the front falls in his face a bit, the frayed tips stopping not far above his eyes at a somewhat haphazard angle.
- Attire: Red and brown are Aaron’s main colors as a Red Mage, with a thin but long sleeved white tunic beneath his scarlet vest and jacket overlapping it. A simple brown belt goes around the waist of his crimson breeches, with an added loop of leather for the scabbard of his blade. Equally simple brown boots encase his legs from knees down, the breeches tucked inside. Aaron also adorns an ankle-lengths cape, golden underneath and scarlet on the upper side. A golden feather is tucked in the band of his often tilted crimson hat, shadowing his face from being ‘longer’ than it is wide.
While the first set of garments is more or less his standard issue received from the Tycoon royals when knighted, he usually adorns a similar tunic, except the color is a soft electrum color, nearly white. With this is a second set of red breeches and the first belt, although he still adorns his crimson-and-gold cape along with his hat.
Weapons/Armor/Magic: [/b]
- Weapons: A sturdy mythril longsword is kept in a steel-alloy mix of a sheath, though the blade itself is inscribed with intricate runes. Those runes give way to charging the sword itself with a spell, and retaining it until decided otherwise. His sword is nearly always in top condition, highly polished and recently whetted.
- Armor: Brown gauntlets are usually encasing his hands and forearms when prepared for battle, the leather well cared for and hardened to maximum protectiveness.
- Magic: As a Red Mage, and to some a Mystic Knight, he is as well versed in magic as he is in the sword.
Hobbies/Occupations:[/b] Aaron tends to simply wander across the world, searching for the bits of his past that he doesn’t remember. Much of his younger days are shaded, even up until the last year of his life when he woke with only his name and age. He vaguely recalls being knighted at Tycoon, but knows naught of what happened before or afterwards now. His main goal is to restore his memories, and find out where he gained many of his skills with magic and fencing.
Skills/Abilities: [/b]
- Skills: Magic and swordsmanship are his strongest suits, being able to use the former with relative ease for the most part. Fencing is still fairly simple for him, though he knows there is much more he can learn and remember. Other than that, he is also skilled in the calming of animals and wild beasts, even befriending some.
- Abilities: Oddly enough, Aaron is capable of soothing even the most desperate of people or beast alike. He manages to calm emotions of those around him slightly, with merely his presence. Instinctual, but also bloodline skill, seems to give him an edge in doing so.
Personality:[/b] Aaron is calm and collected for a good portion of the time, quiet from the loss of his memories. He tends to be the more observant one, highly perspective. He detests being called by any title whatsoever, preferring only the name he can remember. However, despite his personal feel towards titles, he has no qualms towards the titles of others. It seems habitual to address one with it by the said title, without even thinking about it beforehand. This makes acquaintances formal in their own way, though Aaron will try to help if he can.
But, despite helping others, he just wants to be helped himself in some areas. Confusion rests at the back of his mind, irritated that he cannot even know what happened to him in his life. More often than not, when receiving the feeling of dejavu, he grows perpetually silent, trying to control the frustration of the situation.
Bio/History:[/b] Aaron’s father was something of a Beasttamer, though he only possessed the talent for befriending and taming them. His talent, however, passed to his only son. Aaron himself had always had a knack for doing the same, speaking and communicating with ‘monsters’. Though unable to grasp how to use telepathy himself, he can still connect with it.
He was trained to be a Red Mage in Tycoon from the age of nine, first starting as a squire. Aaron had first aspired to be one as a young child, seeing what their purpose was and their behavior. For quite a while, he worked towards that goal alone, nearly forgetting to cultivate his inborn ability. When he returned to doing so, he was nearing his eleventh autumn.
By that time, he was well into the usual studies of tomes, as well as magical tomes. A good portion of the usual studies seemed rather boring to him, with the exception of the mythology as well as about different places and the people in it. That aside, he preferred the magical tomes and training to the dull task scratching out numbers on a sheet of parchment, that being his weakest subject.
Fencing became one of his most visited practices, as was working with the ‘monsters’ around the Tycoon area under his father’s supervision. Despite being corrected in his way of handling it several times, Aaron found no qualms in adding his own touch to his father’s experience. Rather than bartering like most wished for him to do, he first worked with basic communication and friendship, gaining the trust of many creatures that then allowed him to pass in the vicinity without striking.
Two Nutkins, overlarge but naturally curious squirrels, began following him around for a good portion of their youth, though only one remained when it came time to find mates. The second male, whom had told him his name was Sadaki, meaning “faithful”. Despite that he knew he Nutkins did not have the same lifespan of humans, Sadaki insisted on staying with Aaron and keeping him company during his spare time.
He received conformation at the age of eighteen, just after autumn began. He departed on a commission of the King not long afterwards, requesting that he locate someone. Unfortunately, by this time Sadaki was too old to travel, having been in his prime during Aaron’s fifteenth year. At his request, Sadaki began living with his human’s father, whom the young knight knew would take good care of his friend. Aaron himself spent much time in doing so, though exchanging letters with Moogles to pass onto his family throughout the next year.
Soon after turning nineteen he had learned quite a bit in his search, reactions and certain skills seemingly engrained into him and automatic. At this point he had covered a fair amount of land and sea, met many and encountered much. He developed a disliking for thieves in general when he saw the bane results of their actions in several settlements, this dislike further confirmed when several attacked him.
Not long afterwards, Aaron had the misfortune to be caught in a collapsing building while revisiting Tule. When he woke, there was a clean slate. What he could remember, was very vague. This both intimidated him and confused him, causing the Red Mage to wander around the town, trying to figure out where and who he was.
The next year was spent trying to recover himself, though he only spent a week in Tule. Much of his previous skill was brought to the surface by engrained reaction, though frustrating him as to where he learned it. Near when he was turning twenty, he encountered a female Nakk, whom her pack had apparently turned on.
Not so. After helping her, and using his strange connection to beasts, he learned that she was a “Royal Nakk”. Rafe seemed wary at first, but soon warmed to him and grew surprisingly protective – Even when he encountered Elena, though the trio soon somehow became a close group.
Likes:[/b] Elena, Rafe, Sadaki (when he remembers the little squirrel), art, sunset and the night sky, and freshly baked bread.
Dislikes:[/b] Himself for being unable to even know who he is, thieves in general, merciless and stubborn “Wild Nakks”, being addressed by a title.
Weaknesses/Strengths: [/b]
- Weaknesses: Having a low tolerance to heat, he sometimes ends up shedding a layer of his garments. His other qualm is fire-based creatures, finding himself unable to communicate as well with them. This can lead to misunderstandings and then a battle, which is usually far from what he is aiming for.
- Strengths: Aaron is fairly skilled in communicating with most ‘beasts’ as most people call them, befriending many. He is also good with comforting others much like his Royal Nakk companion, offering a shoulder to lean on, despite inwardly needing one himself. A strong point of his is “Ladies first”, though he simply accepts that one as common curtsey. Other than that, he is fairly well off when it comes to ice-based magic or puzzles.
Other Noteworthy Facts: N/A
Personal Treasure:[/b] His sword is more or less his most prized item, knowing that it was special to him before he lost his memory. He just doesn’t know why, but despite that Aaron usually doesn’t let it out of his sight.
