AHAHAHAHAHAA I'M TROLLING THIS THREAD >D
I don't even know the proper definition of trolling :'D
ANYWAYS. I read everything from the beginning, and I wanna address two issues here *clears throat, adjusts nonexistant glasses, leans into the microphone and fixes papers on nonexistant desk* SUPERSTAR SAGA AND MARIO GALAXY 1 WERE AWESOME~
I own a copy of superstar saga and it's AMAZING. I mean,t he gameplay was soo easy, and I was really happy to see that there was a way to control the number of times you can dodge an attack instead of leaving it up to luck like other rpg's. Like, you could jump over projectile attacks with timed button smashes and avoid stuff and it was awesome~ The storyline was also epic, and the fact that Luigi was in it brightened my day~
As for the bosses, they were kinda challenging, and to this day, I have never beaten the final boss (I have a problem with final bosses. I always chicken out and give up right before them cause I'm too scared of losing LMFAO xDDD) because, well, it was too hard U.U" But overall, it was an amazing game, lots of places to go, the items were very interesting and the gameplay was quick and easy. Minigames were enjoyable as well (although one of them seriously got on my nerves cause it was obligatory and I kept dying
") and the entire game was, basically, a huge success. One of the best GBA games I've ever played, if not THE best.
And now, addressing Super Mario Galaxy.
I haven't played the second one cause it has a Yoshi on the cover and I HATE Yoshis (they get on mah nerves >_>") but I did just finish the story mode of the first one (I rented it like, 4 days ago :3). And I'm pretty sure I dun wanna play the second one cause *SPOILERSPOILERSPOILERSPOILER* All the Lumas and that awesome Rosalina lady all die in the end D< *ENDSPOILER* so if they don't come back in the second one, not worth playing.
So for the first one, I was all hyped to play and I completed, like, 20 levels in the first hour, and I was really intent on beating the game 100%, but then the secret stars and the green stars came into the picture and I didn't know how to get those and still refuse to google them, so I will never complete the stupid thing at 100% :'D But I'm doing pretty well right now~ 36 stars to the post-game surprise which I sincerely do not know what it is and NOBODY TELL ME CAUSE I DON'T WANNA KNOW D< Unless it's another lava reactor which blows up and kills Lumas.... again.
No seriously, WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND kills fluffy adorable FLYING THINGS in a CHILDREN'S GAME!!!
O____O" Believe me, I'm 15, and I freakin cried when the Luma in Mario's hat went out at the end cutscene, waved goodbye and flew into the black hole, followed by many more. But the ending animation was awesome, with the black hole/vortex/whatever it was. Still, I don't get how Mario, Peach and Bowser survived a FREAKIN BLACK HOLE EXPLOSION.
Oh well, this is Mario after all, so I better not question the possibility of someone surviving something like that |3
Oh and I also
love the music and the level designs. The music was so... epic, it really fit the mood. Especially with the visual effects, the level's backgrounds and particularities, all the visuals were just AMAZING. The graphics were awesome too, but the music and some of the landscapes I came across during the game just took my breath away. We're talking cell-shaded Mario games here. And yet they still managed to make cell-shaded things look marvelous and pulled right out of a dream.
And for some personal experiences... Don't ever play Mario Galaxy, or in fact, ANY game with bosses in it with me. As soon as I get to the boss, I start screaming and play all while screaming my head off cause I'm afraid of dying. As soon as the boss dies and dissolves/flies away/ disappears/ASPLODES~, I stop screaming, clear my throat and start screaming in joy cause I beat it. Oh yes, I do believe my little sister is now deaf because she was playing second player with me throughout our runthrough of SMG
Hmmm, that's that, I guess. The red stars that allow you to fly also totally killed me (in a good way). The music associated with it is just so breathtakingly beautiful and inspiring, I could just fly around all day long to listen to the music and just for the sake of flying. Everything, from Mario's outfit change to the red streaks he leaves behind him, to the tear-jerkingly amazing music, everything in the flying department was astoundingly well done. It had a strong impression on me, and I found myself wishing I could fly more often.
And one last thing. My sister's an expert in Star Bits collection
She's like, whooshing all across the screen and getting all the star bits she can, or even cannot see xD Even before I land on the first platform of the game, I have like, 93569284752938 star bits cause she's so good at spotting and catching them xD
Overall, this game was simply amazing. Definately goes into my top favorite games of all times. It was mostly the music that had me hooked cause I'm a sucker for good orchestrated music, but the storyline was also awesome (cept for the fact that Peach got kidnapped again *GASP, I FORGOT TO PUT A SPOILER ALERT >_>" Cause we've never seen Peach get kidnapped before and totally couldn't predict it'd happen again in this game. That chick seriously needs to learn kung fu or something. No more kidnapping~*). Rosalina was an awesome touch to the story, and just the fact that it was all happening throughout different galaxies all around the universe, that was just SO inspiring, I felt like crying once I finished the game (in a good way~)
If I had to give this game a mark, I'd give it a 9.5/10
-0.5 points for Peachnappings~ =.="
