The following is just a fun little project I started a little while ago. I probably won't launch it due to lack of time, but I absolutely love making RPs. I want to share the process of creating a story with others, so feel free to comment and ask questions .
Note that this is highly undeveloped. I started this the day before the semester started. I haven't touched it since.

Fire Emblem: Fate Unbound
NOTE: All players must have played at least one FE game. This RP will assume you have knowledge about classes, promotions, and their strengths and limitations.
Long ago, there was one continent: Ephus. There, men and laguz lived in relative peace, working together to build their society. However, a new enemy had risen against them. Monsters, said to have ascended from a fabled underworld, were attacking villages, towns, and even large cities with ferocity not scene by those that lived that day. An emergency meeting of all Ephus leaders was held to decide how to best combat the new foe. In the end, it was the leader of the dragons. Lord Bahamut, that proposed the solution: they were to search for the legendary Fire Emblem, a stone said to give the wielder the power to raise a mighty army unrivaled by all. The other races approved of the plan: they revered the wisdom of the dragons for ages. After years of searching, it was Lord Bahamut that found the Fire Emblem inside Mt. Magnus. The people rejoiced: soon the monster armies would be defeated and peace would reign once more.
Then all hell broke loose.
Fire rained from the skies. Monsters weren’t simply attacking villages: they were conquering lands with tactics not seen in their species. No one knew why, but it appeared Lord Bahamut and the dragons were on a war of conquest, with the monster hordes as their main fighting force! In order to stop the dragons from annihilating everything they loved, the humans and laguz species united to form one large army and took their fight to Mt. Magnus. This was the beginning of the Great War for Ephus.
It was there that the humans and laguz lost, the war decimating half of their populations. Lord Bahamut banished the losing side to the western half of the continent. With his massive powers, he split Ephus into two separate lands: Agrippa and Tiamat.
Two millennium have passed…
Though the human and laguz populations have been restored and continue to thrive, their history has been lost. They worship great deities known as dragons, who banished the demonic hordes of monsters in exchange for the allegiance of their subjects. As far as these subjects are concerned, the neighboring land of Tiamat is but a myth, a place where their deities reside and where the dead ultimately rest. No one is aware of what truly happened two thousand years ago.
Currently, there is a big celebration in the city of ___, located in ___. The leaders of each country are getting together to hold a “state of Agrippa” meeting. It is quite rare to get all the leaders in the same room, so the city throws a huge party for the occasion. Citizens of all countries participate in the festivities, though none know what is being discussed within the castle.
You play as a lord, an heir to an ancient family bloodline. You too are kept in the dark as the secret meeting takes place. What would soon transpire would start a grand adventure that would decide the fate of all Agrippa.

Ideas:
1. The RP would be divided into three parts. The first part, the prologue, would depict the final battle in the Great War. They would be on Bahamut's doorstep as they fight hordes of monsters. The RPers would play as ancestors of their main characters, either as direct relatives (great great great...grandfather, etc.) or indirect (uncle, trusted family friend). If they are direct relatives, they would have to be old enough to have already bore children because they would not survive the battle. The characters would be really good friends, some even lovers. This would emphasize the tragic tale depicted in this part. They would die fighting for everything they love, including each other.
Part two would depict the present day. RPers would switch to their main characters, likely descendents of those in the first part. These descendants would be lords to their respective country, becoming friends while their parents discuss worldly matters (if they aren't already). Suddenly, the castle is attacked by a swarm of monsters. The kings and queens of Agrippa are dead. Their children must fight for their lives to escape. As they watch the castle burn at a safe distance, they realize that they have inherited the entire continent. The characters escape to a neighboring country for salvation.
Unfortunately, they find that the monster attacks weren't limited to just one country. Villages had been destroyed, while larger cities were under siege. THe lords realize what they must do: gather a fighting force and keep their parents' lands safe. The task takes them across Agrippa, eventually revealing the true history of their people. They will also find out that the dragons aren't their deities but their overlords, controlling everything from their society to the climate! Part Two would end with the band of heroes on their way to Tiamat.
In Part Three, our heroes fight their way across the enemy land, even making unlikely allies (some dragons sympathizee to their cause). Eventually, they would end up on the very same battlefield their ancestors died upon. Would they survive the last battle with Bahamut? Would they even make it that far? Only time would tell...
2. Like the Fire Emblem series, death would be real and permanent. I would like to see some RPers play the villians, trying to make sure the heroes' journey ends prematurely. Yes, even the main lords are at risk. When a character dies, the RPer has the option to create another character. The catch? That character would be on the opposite side of their previous character. Details on this system are sketchy.
3. Enemies aren't limited to monsters and dragons. Some humans and laguz welcomed their new overlords, siding against their brethren. This applies more to Part One, though I can easily see such enemies within the other parts as well.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1-4: Agrippa, the land of humans and laguz. This is where Part Two will take place.
5-8: Tiamat, the land of dragons. Part Three will take place here, while Part One will occur in country #8.
Most of the countries need a name and some characteristics. If anyone would like to do one for a country (or countries), I'm completely open to it .
1. Siegnus: Siegnus is a country almost entirely made up of mountains. Flat land is rather rare, though tunnels have been carved through the mountains for easier access to villages and towns. Castle Siegnus is built into a mountain, allowing for formidable defenses.
The country has come a long way since its tribal beginnings. Named after the hero Andor, Siegnus has inherited the strength of its founder, allowing it to become the leading country of Agrippa.
2.
3. Laguz country
4. Siofra: The greatest magical minds come to learn at this country's top schools. Compared to the rest of Agrippa, the large cities tend to be quite advanced thanks to the use of magic. Siofra is also famous for its library labyrinth. It is said that some texts remain in hidden halls for thousands of years.
The country is protected by a formidable mountain range and highly trained teams of pegasus knights and wyvern riders.
5. Swamp country
6. Ra Desert: The raging heat proves to be quite an effective border against anyone who manages to get through the swamps.
7. Mountain Range
8. Bahamut's country
