Because he's emo and brooding, and pale and good-looking. He's not really all THAT cool, but he's good fangirl fodder. Personally, I like Naruto much better, lol.

I see. Brooding, I can see being interesting with the proper background. But overemotiontal is kinda something that puts me off. I deal with that enough as it is. (That, or we have different standards of "emo", XD.)

Personally, I think Naruto and Sakura make much more sense. They stay together longer, Naruto is nicer to Sakura and loves her, and they're so much more compatible. Sasuke is a jerk who doesn't appreciate Sakura and runs off to get revenge rather than stay and be with her when she gave everything for him.

Ouch. That sounds like she got the short end of the stick, unfortunately. (I would watch the series, but I'm currently trying to finish several others before Reliscensing removes them from the web, too.)

mhm. I wouldn't bother watching the first part of Naruto after a certain point (something happens with Sasuke) until the Shippuden series. It's all filler after that.
