As I have yet to be able to buy Soul Silver or Heart Gold, I'm only being teased with images and videos. I know there have been updates and small changes (Tin Tower to "Bell" Tower ... That one kind of sucks, but beggars can't be choosers after ten years of waiting).
All in all, though, this thread is general discussion of HG/SS compared to G/S/C. Anything related to it is fair game. Discussion, go. ;D

I have to say, as much as I loved Gold, SoulSilver has stolen my heart. I think they really have done the classic game justice, above and beyond what any of us thought. Really, I have yet to find a complaint for it.

*Grin.* Now I'm really looking forward to it, then. What would you say is the best feature so far, if you haven't entirely beaten the game yet? I'm personally loving the fact that the first-party pokemon gets to follow you around. *Huggles my future Terasu.*

Yeah, having the first party pokemon walk around with you is definitely cool. I totally had to readjust to Diamond/Pearl when I threw that in for a minute, lol.
I'd have to say though, the menu screen on the touch screen is totally awesome. Everything is right there, all you have to do is tap it. Also, you can tap the running shoes so you just run all the time instead of holding B. I gotta say, those two combined make my favorite new feature.
And no, I haven't beaten it yet. I'm taking my time. I've got... 5 badges, I think? I'm in the midst of some level grinding to make sure I don't get my face handed to me at the next gym battle, lol.

That really does sound fantastic, guys. Now I'm even more anxious than ever. *Smiles.*
Aside from the graphics and gadgets, is there anything else you like?

I really like being able to walk with your pokemon. Is it just me, or has anyone else talked to the pokemon behind you? >.> I do that a lot
The 6th gym I just rushed through because I wanted fly I picked the fire starter, so win against steel. Same with the 7th gym. ^.^

Oh yeah. Go, Quilava! Burninate!
But, the battles are really fun to do with the stylus, cutting the time of battles in half for me.

*Smiles.* Now that I've bought Soul Silver, I can definitely agree with whats been posted here. Talking to your pokemon, and having them follow you around, is definitely a cause of nogalista. I remember pikachu doing that back in Yellow (my first pokemon game), so it is at least pretty powerful in that section.
I'm also liking how the gym challenges are at a higher level, too. It provides longer gameplay, and less level grinding to defeat the Elite Four later on in the game.

Well, the first time I played through it I soloed everything with my fantastic Scyther.
And it was great.
I actually missed the Second Gen. As a child, so it was great to finally be able to play through it.
