Although Tyson in this RP is the same Tyson Collins from Race Into The Night, the different nature of this RP means his backstory has changed significantly.
In Blazing Sword, Tyson's only Pokemon are Topaz and Ladon, and he was raised in Blackthorn, eventually trained as one of the Dragon Tamers. He and Ladon did not get off to a good start in their relationship, the Dratini disliking Tyson initially, but after a nasty incident involving a rather violent dragon in the Dragon's Den, Ladon got his scar, and Tyson and Topaz saved his life, finally earning the Dratini's trust and friendship.
But more recently, and incident involved a corrupt senior Dragon Tamer occurred that involved Topaz, forcing Tyson to intervene, attacking the Tamer in self-defence. In the end, Tyson's story was cast aside as lies, and the Tamers exiled him from their group, along with Blackthorn entirely...never to return.
Despite his exile, Tyson remains partially loyal to the Dragon Tamers, or at least to their ideals. He still wears the traditional garb of a Dragon Tamer; simple, reliable travel clothing, including a hardened leather vest for protection, and a hooded cloak to help conceal his identity, although with a few modifications to show his rogue status. Along with Topaz and Ladon, he also carries his own personal weaponry...a long, curved saber, and two daggers hidden in his back and ankle. he knows how to use them, the Dragon Tamers having taught him the basics, and many of the intricacies of swordsmanship.
Despite his skills, Tyson has attempted to avoid getting involved in the growing conflict stemming from Goldenrod, instead preferring to stay in the shadows and use his skills to help those in need. But the upcoming seige of Ecruteak may force his hand, and have him show his allegiance once and for all...
EDIT: And on one final note, due to the different time period this RP is set in, Tyson's age is reduced from 19 to 16.
