Tell me about it. It's an extremely dull here right now ... I wish we'd get some activity.

Well, I've been trying to get my schoolwork done. Graduation in two or so months.

Never had to take those due to being homeschooled. Yay for not teaching to the test. (Which they did in both first and second grade, when I was in mainstream. Boring as heck.)
And did anyone else have problems with their school system before? (Such as getting in -trouble- for reading a few grade levels ahead, despite being able to comprehend every bit of it? Or, if you have a disability of some sort [my case, deaf in one ear], they try to put you in Resource when you qualify for the "Gifted" program? Not sure why they call it gifted, though ... They just teach to what one should be learning, rather than the dullest in the class.)

*Raises hand* In third grade, I was the only kid able to read the Harry Potter series and understand it. The teachers said I should read 'Grade level books.' Pah.

That's what they did to me. T_T
I got in trouble for reading 5th grade books in 2nd. Got in trouble for it. They said I was "overreaching", and that I couldn't "possibly understand it". Cue the dumbstruck expressions when I explained the book piece by piece. Cue the parent-teacher conference. *Facepalm.*
I was taken out of mainstream when, for 3rd grade, they wouldn't accept Mom's fighting to even keep me in the regular classes, much less what I tested into. Homeschooling started when they determined to place me in the lowest possible form. Since then, I've completed two grades at an accelerated pace, XD.
And what was that about me being stupid from being half deaf? *Pokes them.*

*Sweatdrop.* Stupid for being half deaf?!? Pah! Helen Keller was blind AND deaf and very smart. I know, it annoyed my parents. I understood every bit of harry potter. They didn't even text my eyesight becuase I didn't have my contacts in and said I failed. Stupid mainstream.
