"... You offer a rather cold greeting," The blonde girl said simply. Rini fidgeted. She didn’t like people thinking she was mean… She looked up, and met the girls green gaze with her own. “I’m really sorry about that. I just wasn’t sure of if you were a witch hunter or something along those lines. See we’ve had nasty experiences with witch hunters in the past, and I wasn’t sure if you might be one. That, or a dark witch. The only dark witch that is good is Stephen, and he’s on our side. I’m Rachel warren, by the way. Who are you?” She asked, her natural friendly-ness coming out not that she knew the blonde girl was no more a threat than Stephen was Stephen chuckled low under his breath. “Haha, nice to know you think I’ve gone weak.” The dark haired boy muttered. Rini gave Stephen a hard glance. “Being good doesn’t mean being weak.” She told him firmly.

The mage's brow arched at the other blonde girl's rather black and white opinions of magic - and people, for that matter - admittedly finding them rather naive. Shrugging one shoulder after a moment, though, being familiar with prosecution due to being a mage. For being a threat, for having an advantage over vampires. Or, more specifically, something that at least leveled the field in the ongoing oppression.
"My name is Serenity," she returned after a moment, glancing at the dark haired one. He physically looked about two years younger than Gabriel, but the latter's appearance was certainly deceiving. In fact being actively over 500 years old, and a grand total of over 1000 counting the centuries he was Sealed. Nodding to the man behind her after a moment, motioning for him to step up.
The dark eyed vampire offering a courteous bow to the apparent 'witches', before leveling his gaze. "Gabriel Altair," the former Noble said softly, a small smile playing about his lips.

Stephen smiled. “Hi, I’m Stephen Evans.” He introduced himself, nodding to the blue eyed teen that just stepped up next to Serenity. “Hi, I’m Cameron Madden!” The pretty boy said, shooting a flirty grin at Serenity, Stephen sighed. Kyle smiled. “Hi, I’m Kyle Jackson.” “I’m Leslie Jacobs,” Leslie gave the two teenagers a warm smile. Stephen frowned slightly, and looked around. Something or someone was trying to summon a demon or a spirit. But, who? He took a deep breath, and looked around slightly, only mildly concerned to see the shadows shifting ever so slightly. So slightly in fact, that someone without his special…insight wouldn’t have ever noticed. Being half demon did come in handy at time, he must admit, even though a lot of the time it was useless.
“You looked like you’ve seen a ghost.” Leslie noted. Stephen nodded. “Someone’s summoning a dark entity. “ He glanced at Serenity, then Gabriel in turn. “It’s not one of you, is it?” He asked softly.

The duo nodded as they introduced himself, though the one that introduced himself as Cameron made a wry smile curve Gabriel's lips. A fellow ladies' man, it seemed. But he himself had already fixated upon one in particular now. "A pleasure," the dark eyed vampire returned with a nod, idly musing.
But Stephan's question caused his brow to arch ever so slightly, mind flitting to a possibility. Someone else may have accidentally crossed the Threshold with them. But if it were a vampire, they should have had no need for a demon. And most humans died when trying to pull off the feat of summoning other-worldly creatures. It was just something the manega in their blood couldn't support. "No. It is not us," he finally returned, well aware of their steady gazes. "Have you any idea of just whom it may be?"
Serenity's voice reentering the conversation as Gabriel's eyes wandered the area, before flicking back to her as she spoke. "Whomever it may be, a demon is still a demon. Something that needs to be eradicated if it is aggressive ... Much like your own kind, Gabriel, when they grow too mighty for their fangs," the blonde hunter added coolly, clearly stating her opinion on the matter in Sereas. As if she needed to remind him - Humans had been enslaved for nearly three mellenia. But she had yet to accept that he wasn't entirely like her ex master. The one she ran from. The one she refused to mention.
But she still wore the thick ribbon about her throat to cover the scars.

Stephen shook his head. “No. I don’t. I’m the only one on campus that can summon a demon, and I didn’t, that I can assure you.” He frowned, and looked towards the cemetery in the distance. Rini put her hand on his shoulder and said in a scared voice, “It’s not Sarah, is it?” Golden-blue eyes meet a vivid green, and Stephen paused for a moment, before shaking his head, causing his dark hair to fall in his eyes. “Nope. I sent her to the shadow realm myself, and sealed the portal. I know it’s not her, but if it’s not her, who?” He wondered. Cameron glared. “I don’t know, but we need to find out! Demons aren’t good. Half demons are almost as bad.” The green eyed boy said coolly. Stephen felt his temper flare up, and took a deep breath.
“You’re right. Half demons can be bad. It just depends on the half demon.” Stephen said shrugging. Cameron nodded, and smirked. “True Evans. You’re not all that bad…most of the time.” Then Cameron said something under his breath that sounded like “Trying to take over the world.” Stephen glowered.

Bemusement crossed Gabriel's sapphire eyes at Rini's clear fear, practically able to smell it. He was under the assumption that the other blonde girl was supposed to be the leader, which made it odd. A leader was not supposed to crumble at the first threat. Not in their reality. Glancing over at the Cameron boy's comment about Stephan being a half demon, before shrugging one shoulder. "My kind has been compared to demons before. And not even a full demon need be a monster at heart," Gabriel stated blandly, countering both Cameron's and Serenity's opinions without initiating a fight. But the latter was clearly growing impatient with waiting, even if her mind was already working on strategies.
He had seen just how easily she had killed the first vamparic assassin sent after them. She was not to be trifled with. Human or not.
"I believe you said your name was Stephen?" Serenity queried to the dark haired man, cutting off the impending quarrel. "You said you could sense the whereabouts - Perhaps you would be kind enough to point us in the proper direction?"

Rini could tell that everyone thought she was weak. “Hey, I have a Latin assignment to go do…it’ll just take a minute. I’ll see you guys later.” She managed before walking off, brushing her dark hair out of her face. Stephen frowned at the green-eyed girl. What was wrong with her? She wasn’t this scared all the time. He turned to Serenity and nodded. “Yes, I can. The most concentrated source of the energy is over there.” He waved his hand in the direction of the cemetery. Warren Hall had a small cemetery that was to be used when people died on school grounds, and still was in use somewhat today. “What’s wrong with Rini?” Cameron asked. Stephen shrugged. “I wish I knew. Something’s shaken her confidence, and I don’t like it…Cameron, go talk to her. Maybe you can convince her to come back. For one, I know she doesn’t have a Latin assignment. We’re in her class.” Cameron nodded, and jogged off after Rini.
Stephen shook his head and tried to ignore the pain sending Cameron after Rini had caused him. He looked up at Serenity, and Gabriel and said, ‘If you guys are gonna go check out the demon, we wanna come.” He said, meeting Serenity’s dark green gaze with his own golden-blue-red one.

Serenity nodded after a moment, half turning. "Let's go, then. But you may want to take care of your leader later. If she's this distracted, one strong opponent will bring her to her knees," the vampire hunter added, her voice soft. But it was clear that, despite her brusque manner, she was only looking out for the other human. That in itself proving unsurprising for Gabriel, though moving to follow Stephan and Serenity.

Kyle chuckled. Leslie smiled and shook her head, her blonde hair going everywhere. “Rini isn’t the leader. Sure, she’s the most powerful, and she’s the descendent of Rachel Warren, the witch who founded this school, but we don’t really have a leader…” Leslie trailed off. Stephen shrugged. “I count Rini as the leader.” He said quietly. Leslie looked chastised. “I didn’t mean it like that. But, what’s wrong with her? I mean, she’s never like this..” Kyle frowned. “She’s not confident in her powers anymore. Isn’t it clear? After what happened with Sarah, and how she couldn’t freeze her, AND her getting possessed, she’s just not feeling very sure of herself.” The witch with the empathy powers shrugged.
“Kyle’s right.” Rini’s soft voice said, her and Cameron walking back over.

The vampire hunter halted a few feet away, seeing as the natives to this reality were in no hurry to hunt down the demon. She could understand them being concerned about their companion, however, their priorities were a tad skewed. It would be far easier to help their friend once a threat was taken care of, since it would lessen the dividing of attention. But she was unsurprised when Rini rejoined them, followed by Cameron.
