What is a memory you guys have? It can be your first memory, a special time, something sad or happy, etc.
The best memory for me would have to be my first visit to California. We flew in by plane to Huntington Beach. Once my feet touched the ground I knew that it was destiny. (corny I know) I'm a city girl so when I looked up at all those tall sky scarpers I felt right at home. The traffic was a little crazy, but we made it out a live. My family stayed at the house my mom had lived in during high school. At that time my grandfather was still alive. He didn't live in the house, due to his health he couldn't live by himself. It wasn't clean or well taken care of, but the old seventies style furniture and shaggy orange carpet instantly attracted me. All those old books and pictures intrigued me and I would sit down in the living room just reading. Yodongsaeng and I would sit in the living room and play chess with this old and exteremly heavy marble chess set. Outside all sorts of tropical flowers bloomed. The weather was sublime. It was hardly ever humid so I could breath better. The beach was cold, but I've always disliked warm water. (It always gives me the feeling that somebody's used the restroom in the water.>.<) And there were surfers everywhere! I nearly died from all the cute, tanned surfers I saw. XD At that time a surf competition was going on so we watched some of the competitors play for a while. They were pretty good. Disney was the best part. When I was younger I always dreamed of going to Disney, but I soon learned that it was almost impossible. I almost cried when I saw the Disney Land park. It was the first time I had ever had a dream come true. I became a total child. (A very cool acting child for I refused to wear mouse ears.) Riding all the rides, especially the scary ones, eating sweets until I puked, and then ohing and awing over the fireworks show; nobody could ask for a better day. When my California trip ended I was determined that someday I was going to live in California.
So that's one of my favorite memories. (sorry it's long.) I'd love to hear what you guys have to say! ;D
