Name: Michi(Path) Kimura(tree village)
Age: 60
Gender: Male
Hometown: Pallet Town, Kanto
Appearance: Long, unkempt shaggy gray-brown hair with half of it pulled into a lazy samurai tail, his short beard the same shade. His face is reasonably aged, considering his actual age and previous life as a Pokemon Trainer, his body is still in fantastic shape and he is reasonably intimidating, standing at 6'4” and weighing 160 pounds of muscle.
He generally wears a shirt that ties shut with a cloth belt and brown hakama pants and sandals. For more practical occasions, he wears a t-shirt and jeans with hiking boots.
Personality: He's an old man who knows full well how good he used to be. He's highly sarcastic, and can come off as rude or downright mean to kids he feels aren't up to the task of training pokemon, but he's actually a kind man, known to go out of his way to help strangers for no reason.
Sometime in his thirties he picked up smoking hand-rolled cigarettes and commenting on it is a fast way to get him mad.
When angered, he is known to growl and snarl like a wild pokemon, and he picked this up to keep unruly pokemon in line and was highly amused when he found it worked on unruly humans, too.
When stressed, he smokes more heavily than usual, but otherwise shows no other signs of being stressed.
Biography: When he was born, it was a very rare and prestigious thing to be a Pokemon trainer. The Pokeballs were hard to use and often failed to work. But that did not stop his slightly nerdy neighbor Sammy Oak, so he wasn't going to let him, either. This was back in the day where not much was known about pokemon, and they weren't given out willy-nilly to any trainer who wanted one to start out with. Oftentimes this lead to many boys wandering off with little better than a stick in order to find a pokemon they truly wanted to start with.
Michi didn't really want to be a trainer at first, but he wanted to travel. His reasoning for going was to keep Sammy out of trouble so his parents didn't have to worry. This ended up reversing, Michi being very reluctant to even try and catch a pokemon and ended up having to be bailed out by the more knowledgeable Sammy.
Though Sammy did seem to know more about what they had gotten into than Michi, Michi did catch a pokemon first, getting very lucky with a Weedle in Viridian Forest. Much rejoicing was had between the two. Sammy got very lucky shortly after, catching a Charmander that was preying on the bug pokemon in the forest, seeing as they were easy prey.
As the two traveled, they steadily got stronger and caught stronger pokemon. But around the time they reached a heavily forested area known for its rare pokemon, it would later be known as the Safari Zone, Sammy decided he'd rather become an expert on pokemon, wanting to make travel safer for the kids who set out to master Pokemon. Michi encouraged Sammy to give it a good try, and though he had different goals at the time, wanting to train the powerful dragon pokemon, he offered to come along with his newly caught Dratini duo and keep him safe.
While they did end up parting ways, they'd leave messages at signposts for each other, in case the other happened to pass that way.
Michi became very powerful with his dragon pokemon, pretty much writing the book on how they acted and how to best deal with them. When he reached the age 25, he came across Sammy again. Sammy told him of this man who lived overseas named Kurt who was finding new and better ways to make more reliable pokeballs. Michi was naturally ecstatic about this.
They stopped in Pallet Town, both having been on there way there to visit with family, when Michi saw another trainer returning from a long journey. Her name was Ayame Suzuki, and Michi was instantly smitten with her. He approached her and introduced himself, finding she was on her way back to Cinnabar Island.
He offered to give her a lift on his newly evolved Dragonite. She was very eager to try flying, having never done it before.
He released his larger male Dragonite from its ball and boosted her up, climbing up behind her to help her hold on. They flew off and his Dragonite decided to help him out a bit, giving her a fantastic ride.
After flying her home, they stayed in touch, visiting each other often. She riding across the ocean on the back of her Gyrados, he flying over on the back of a Dragonite. Slowly but surely, they grew to love one another. Michi asked for her hand in marriage and it was granted. They built a small ranch in Pallet Town, a place that, at the time, was mostly unclaimed land.
They began the tricky process of learning to breed pokemon, getting tips from pokemon breeders all around Kanto and across the seas. Both began smoking, as most pokemon they bred were fire types at first and the smoke kept them calm, making their jobs less dangerous.
Over the years, they more-or-less were able to do this on a regular basis, and Michi began helping his old friend Sammy out when he wanted to breed specific pokemon for trainers to start with. Michi would go out and catch a couple and encourage them to get to know one another until eventually an egg would appear, and eventually, Sammy became Kanto's Pokemon Professor, giving out either a Squirtle, Charmander or Bulbasaur to the starting trainers of Kanto.
Michi also provided a safe place for Sammy to study pokemon he himself didn't have access to, normally. And a place for him to teach his later apprentice Elm.
Eventually, like most husbands and wives, Ayame and Michi had a family, a son named Akio and later a daughter named Hana.
Time went on very peacefully for Michi, although the expected anxiousness any parent would have when their children wanted to go out into the world and become Pokemon Trainers. Though as time went on, his children brought home companions and eventually married. Michi was content with a much more domesticated life, but part of him missed the adventure and danger of the older days.
He would still battle for amusement, but mostly he was retired. He eventually became a grandfather to four lovely grandkids, and a metaphorical grandfather to the first offspring of his Dragnoite pair, dragon types breeding being a lot farther in between than most pokemon.
And he watched Rocket rise in power, but left it to the police. What could a trainer do that trained law officals couldn't? He listened to stories of great exploits from other regions, and while he did vacation there with his wife, he never truly went on another pokemon adventure, deeming himself too old. One one of these occasions, he brought home a Mawile.
He was shocked when he came home to the Dragonair that had evolved from the Dratini he had on his ranch were all nursing eggs.
While most did get released into the wild or sold to trainers who wanted a Dratini from his pokemon's line, he did keep one that he wanted to raise.
And so, life continued as normal, until he got a strange call from Sammy...
Strengths: Experience, knowledge, knowing pretty much most old people(as everyone knows all old people know each other, obviously.).
Weaknesses: Easily bored, can be lazy, very proud.
Items: Kit for making cigarettes, bedroll and blanket, some spare Pokeballs and some spare Greatballs, a sewing kit, paper and pen, hunting knife.
Other Notes: Yes, I based him off a retired samurai and a more cynical Iroh. Don't ask.

History: She was born to the children of Michi's first Dragonite, and grew up on his ranch near Pallet Town, leading a very calm life, but trained to be a battling pokemon. She never expected sh would be going on a journey with her old master, let alone that he wasn't planning on bringing very many pokemon...

Mawile, Female:

Techniques (Attacks):
(Learned): Astonish, Fake Tears.
(Specifically Taught): Attract, Flash Cannon, Toxic, Brick Break.
(Misc/Inherited):
Special Features: None.

Mawile is very much the eager warrior, always ready for the next fight and eager to compete. But, thanks to training from Michi, also adheres to a sense of honor. She will not attack a downed opponent when they are clearly defeated, and she will not attack someone while their back is turned.
History: Mawile began as a simple wild pokemon with a strange sense of honor, battling for the sake of battling, when it was caught by Michi-dono vacationing in Hoenn. She at first was not happy about this, but as he trained her to hone her skills to better herself in battle, she grew to actually care about his well-being and became a little bit of a pokemon housemaid and bodyguard, never leaving his side when he had someone over and often fetching him food and drinks when at home and helping with some simple chores.
But when she was chosen to come along on Michi-dono's new journey, she never hesitated.
