Appearance: Jake is a smallish boy, around 5’2” and 110 lbs. Much of his training kept him indoors, which would account for his pale skin. His black hair is almost always neatly combed, but not styled with gels and the like. Jake’s brown eyes reflect his youth, sometimes showing a sparkle in his eyes.
- Attire: Jake wears the uniform of the Saffron School of Psychics. This included a white uwagi (jacket) with purple highlights on his long sleeves and purple belt to tie it all together. Matching the jacket is a pair of purple cotton pants, similar to yoga pants. He wears purple slippers, easily taken off when practicing meditating. Overall, his clothing is lightweight to allow for easy movement in battle.

Personality: Jake tends to act like an average boy. He’s quite well-tempered, eager to make friends amongst kindred spirits. He’s very perceptive of others’ feelings. If someone is in need, Jake will do what he can to help, even if that means setting aside his own goals. In battle, he usually isn’t the first to engage an enemy (unless it’s a fun pokemon battle). Even so, Jake doesn’t take any opponent lightly and will give it his all.

History: Jake was born close to Celadon City in the Kanto region. Ever since he was a young child, he had been gifted with psychic powers. Even as a baby, he could move the mobile above his crib with his mind. The early emergence of his psychic powers earned Jake admission into the Saffron School of Psychics. There, he developed them further, becoming a prodigy in telekinesis. Since Saffron City was also home to a fighting dojo, Jake took the opportunity to train there. As a result, he combined his telekinesis with martial arts to create a fighting style to perform spectacular punches and kicks with the aid of his mind. He could perform high-flying kicks by lifting himself into the air with his mind.

It was in his teens that he decided to advance his studies further by traveling across the world in search of psychic pokemon. His goal was to learn techniques from their moves and abilities to diversify his skillset. He even captured a few pokemon to continue learning from them. During this journey however, Jake encountered a strange portal. Curiosity took hold and he entered the gateway. Little did he know that the world he would enter would take his skills out of the classroom and directly into the arena.

Skills/Techniques: As mentioned before, Jake is a phenom with his telekinetic abilities. He can do simple tasks like open locked doors or more complex tasks like lifting objects and throwing them across the room. His greatest feat is lifting himself, allowing him to combine his skills with martial arts to perform high-flying maneuvers (Crouching Tiger style).


Weaknesses: Jake is still rather frail; a heavy hit could send him flying. Though he continues to attempt to extend the limits of his powers, he can’t constantly use his abilities in a long-term battle. Though he could recover his strength through meditation, such an opportunity is unlikely in the middle of a battle. Finally, large foes could prove a bit challenging for the psychic (though not impossible to beat).

Strengths: Jake’s fighting style could surprise an opponent not familiar with his abilities. With his tendency to make friends, he has no problem allying himself with other warriors. Combining his powers with allies could turn battles in his favor.
