Rini narrowed her eyes and took a deep breath. "You won't touch me," she hissed at the vampire. The knight was still coming towards her, and Rini was running out of plans. The Knight slashed towards her and the young witch quickly deflected the blow with her bow. Well, wasn't that just perfect! Now her epic plan for the fire wouldn't work! What worked against metal other than fire? Rini felt something warm and cold at the same time on her arm. She glanced at it and cursed herself. She had gotten cut. "Focus, Rini..." She chided herself, and concentrated. Wait...metal....lightning! Quickly she said the spell, and shot it straight towards the dark warrior, bright green lightning arching around the room, not hitting her. Running into the archery room, she gazed around. She sighed in relief when she saw Josh's compound bow that was made for hunting and she grabbed it off the wall, along with his arrows that could shock wild game and bring it down as a taser would do to a human. This was about to get interesting.

The lightning worked like a charm. The knight convulsed as the energy surged through his body. Just like that, the enemy dropped to the floor, collapsing into a pile of armor pieces. Now, the true fight was about to begin.
As Rini was examining her bow and taser arrows, the doors to the archery room closed shut and the lights were switched off. Now that they were away from the burning fields outside, Sable could hide within the shadows of the room. Only the light from the window revealed the vampire’s body as she rushed to the other side of the room. Her cackle echoed all around, gleeful as to their new surroundings.
“Your blood…I want more!”
Suddenly, Sable launched two knives conceived from her dark magic. Hidden within the shadows of the far right corner, she launched the two knives one after the other towards the witch. Only the light from the window revealed their position as they passed through the light for a moment.

“Your blood…I want more!”
Rini scowled darkly. "You're not gonna get it!" She promised the vampire as she launched a arrow. It felt into the shadows and Rini would hear the electricity zapping. She couldn't hit her, not while they were in the shadows...or could she? Smirking deviously, Rini remembered where the emergency light switch was. The emergency lights was a well know--to the students--Warren Hall secret. They were hidden behind a small plaque and only students and teachers knew it was there. Rini herself hasn't known still Stephen had showed her last year. Now if she could only find it in the dark. Suddenly, she heard a whistling sound. Dropping to the floor in a crouch, she narrowly avoided getting cut--again. She could still feel the blood trickling down her arm and she shuddered. It felt disgusting. Along with the smell of smoke, Rini knew she had to finish this fight fast. Standing up, she noticed a slight pain on her shoulder. Cursing, she noticed she hadn't completely dodged the knives.
Quickly taking a deep and calming breath, she made her way to where she was certain the light switch was. Switching it on, and using a fire spell to melt it in place, the whole room was thrown into pure illumination. Rini grinned at the vampire who lurked in the right corner of the room. She couldn't be much older than herself, the young witch decided. She was kinda pretty, but also scrawny. Notching a arrow, she smirked and said,"Not so tough now are you, vamp? Your kind likes the Dark; but without shadows, you can't use your oh-so-stealthy hide and seek games," Rini grinned, showing how pleased she was.

Sable snarled as the bright lights illuminated the room once more. As her eyes adjusted to the light, she saw Rini standing with another arrow ready, quite happy of her quick thinking. The vampire was about to wipe that smirk off her face.
“Clever girl, but not nearly enough!”
With a simple flick of her wrist, her dark energy attack took the form of a whip as it rushed across the room. The attack was to latch upon the bow and pull it out of the girl’s hands. Whether it did or not, the whip would streak across the ceiling, slashing across the light bulbs that kept the room lit. Sparks and glass rained across the room as darkness took over once more.
“You were saying?” Now it was Sable with the snark smile across her face…if one could see it through the dark.

The whip rushed towards her, and Rini ducked into a roll. Standing up, she took a deep breath. "I call upon the pact with Light I have sworn, help me win this fatal scorn. The Warren witch has made her choice, now help me win this fatal fight! Vivian, I call you to me, so I command it, so mote it be!" The young witch called out and a shadowy ghost appeared in front of her. "Vivian, help me!" Rini cried out and the ghost frowned. "Why?" "Just do it! Please!"
Vivian sighed, but nodded, turning to face the vampire. "How...interesting. The Warren Brat has managed to make a enemy of a vampire. While I have no love for the witch, I am bound to her service...for now." The demon Rini had summoned smiled darkly, calling the shadows to her.
"You're not the only one who can summon help," Rini smirked.

The room was once again illuminated by the light from the ghost, though it was still quite dim. Also helping with visibility was the fire Rini had started earlier in the fight. The blazing inferno had made its way into the archery room; smoke was beginning to creep into the room from the door.
“Prolong the inevitable as much as you want. The ghost and I will survive. But you…well…I never had my prey smoked before! Now, allow me to end this apathetic pact!”
With that, Sable summoned a cloud of needles in front of her, about the size of a basketball. She sent hundreds of tiny shards of dark energy hurtling across the room. The vampire was expecting her attack to pass harmlessly through the ghost…and into the witch behind her!

Vivian laughed, flicking her wrist and sent the attack back at the vampire. "Silly girl. Do you even KNOW who I am? I who am the last of the Putnams? Your dark magic can't harm me!"
Rini kicked open the door only to see the fire had grown. The blazing green fired was dancing around her and Rini groaned. "This isn't good." She took a deep breath and ran, the first not harming her as much as it should have...Why? Oh, that's right, she though. I cast the spell, so it won't hurt me...much.. She quickly ran out of the room and down the hall, running into the library. Grabbing a book off the shelf, she took a deep breath and started drawing a circle on the floor. She finished the pentagram and stood up, the white, glowing light creating a barrier.
This would be where it ended.

The vampire scowled as the needle attack was reflected back at her. She was able to turn her body in time to avoid fatal injury, but her right arm took the brunt of the damage. During all of this, Rini had ran out of the building to brave the flames. In anger, Sable blasted a nearby wall with a burst of dark energy and escaped throug the new exit.
By the time she had escaped the fire and smoke, Rini was long gone. The vampire had some idea as to where Rini went, but her location within the labyrinth of a school was unknown. Morning was coming and she was already wounded.
“What a waste…”
And so, Sable left just as she came: quietly. Her hunger would have to be satisfied by wild game tonight.
