SoJ seems to be on life support, and has been since Summer Break began. I thought we'd come back activity wise when it ended, but now we're all the way into the new year.
We obviously need some member incentive to start posting again, something to spark more discussion. What would you guys like to see?
I have a couple things in mind for the site RP(s):
Revamp the SoJ RP.
Add an Orre RP.
Add third RP, this one actually not Pokemon base (Rune Factory this time). But it does offer a change of pace.

That's great and all, but there's only so much 6-7 active members (at best) can accomplish. I'd rather see one well-supported RP than several with 1-2 people participating.
Even then, none of it matters if it's not maintained. I'm still waiting for a review of Unlikely Alliance. If I can't even get levels in a level-based RP, I lose the incentive to continue, especially with other RPs on different forums vying for my attention. No offense, but I don't see anything different happening with these new RPs. Perhaps change the format so that we don't depend on a mod to give out grades.
Sorry for the tough love, but someone had to say it.

In regards to the non-RP section (since, well, I don't RP), more collective writing and art should be posted here. Be more like a community and critique each other, work together for special pieces, et cetera.
Just an idea.

You present a valid point, 2G. What we need, I believe, is a way that we don't have to rely on just one or two people to do all the grading. Because if they're also participating in an RP, then who is going to grade them? It's kind of not really fair to the staff if short-handed.
Would you have any suggestions for a change of management with the RPs, 2G?
But you are right as well, Up. The artistic section of the forums, though, really is under-loved. With some adequate advertising and revamping, hopefully we'll get some more activity.

We are in rather overdue need of some more artwork...
...Though that is difficult, given the, how shall we say, decline in the regulars?

Well, as I mentioned with the first post, Summer Break is really what killed us. But it's more of a slow strangulation, sadly.
I would suggest a contest in order to get a little activity, but the art board has been dead for quite some time.
