Appearance: Amethyst is tall-ish, being about five-foot-six, thin and lanky, but is wiry under that exterior from doing a lot of field research for Elm. She has long chocolate brown hair that she keeps in a bun most of the time to keep it out of her face. She has fair skin and white Cat’s Eye glasses that frame her dark blue eyes nicely, giving her a slightly feminine touch. She normally wears a purple shirt and white jeans with the legs tucked into purple hiking boots, though sometimes she adds a lab coat to the ensemble. She also wears a bracelet with beads of amethyst that she never seems to remove.
Personality: Amethyst keeps herself distant from most people and Pokemon, as she keeps to her studies and work, training to be a Pokemon Professor like Elm. She can be highly sarcastic, though does have a softer side somewhere down in there. If someone did manage to warm up to her, they’d find themselves seeing her smile more often and possibly having an honest conversation if it was about a topic she knew about. When she’s happy she most often will let you know, by smirking or smiling. She doesn’t laugh often, but when she does, she thinks you honestly did something funny. Or maybe she thought you deserved it. When angry her face will go blank and she will give short, clipped responses. Only if she is truly enraged is the only time she will glare.
Biography: Born in Lavender Town, she grew up with a fascination of the pokemon that lived there, ghost type or otherwise. That curiosity caused her to veer in a different direction than her many siblings, towards the path of a researcher. When she was ten, she went to Oak like all children in Kanto, but didn’t choose a pokemon. Instead, she asked to study under him and learn what he knew about Pokemon. Oak was hesitant, but agreed. When she became fourteen, she heard of Professor Elm in Jhoto and the variety of pokemon in the region. After expressing her deep gratitude towards Oak, she hurried off to Jhoto. As a gift, Elm gave her a Cyndaquil as she had not chosen a pokemon yet and would probably need on in the future. She studied hard under Elm, often going out into the wilds and doing fieldwork for him, causing her to gain strength due to the physical strain of traversing around the region. When she turned sixteen her brother sent her a Pokeball with a pokemon he had bred, under the supervision of his teacher. In the ball was a Shiny Mareep, causing an interest in how exactly an odd-colored pokemon came to be. She is still studying hard but is not against pokemon battling if the reason is right to her.
Strengths: Survival training and plenty of research on many types of pokemon.
Weaknesses: Doesn’t connect well with people or Pokemon, is just about useless without her glasses due to lack of sight.

He also loves music and dancing, but tends to be quite chaotic when dancing and often knocks things over.
History: He was given to Amethyst to be her partner when she went out and about for Elm. He’s been with her for a while and has grown fairly close to her, often startling a laugh from her with his dancing.
