"My thanks ..." she murmured, though offering a small smile. Pausing, though, upon hearing a branch crack. Her hand automatically moving to her hip, but apparently having expected a weapon. Coming up with a blank.

The young woman immediately stood, aura flaring at her palms. Stiffening as a crackling sphere of dark aura suddenly tore into the small clearing.

Dark Link stood in front of Selena and blocked it with his shield. "Who's there! Show yourself!" he growled, ready for a fight.

A low chuckle came from the trees, before another cloaked figure emerged. "You may have escaped once, girl, but you won't survive again," a calm masculine voice drawled, crackling energy once more audible.

The man's chuckle seemed highly amused at the challenge, though Selena's reaction was shock. Why was he protecting her? "I wonder how she managed to garner your support, already ..." the male inquired, acid clinging to his tone.
