Dark Link pointed ahead at two, presumably sleeping, Stalfos guards. He motioned for her to stay and walked ahead a bit.
He reached into the pouch at his side and pulled out a rather large and heavy ball and chain. He started twirling it to get up momentum and let it fly. The rather good aim crushed one skull as he pulled it back and began to spin it for momentum again.

Selena awkwardly shrugged one shoulder in response, watching Dark Link continue about his work. It did not take long to dispatch the second, with the dry crunch of animated bones.

Dark Link carefully put it away. "That thing is cumbersome and heavy. I don't know why in the world I decided I would get it," he grumbled, rubbing his hands.

Selena watched the older Shade cautiously stuff the heavy chain and ball back into his satchel, before her gaze wandered back to the entrance ahead of them. "It is useful, clearly enough."

He grunted. "Rarely." He drew his sword and walked into the mines.
The machines were still running, it was fairly easy to hear. They were probably mining ores for weapons.

The young woman tilted her head slightly, listening to the steady grinding and whirr. "What are we looking for?" she murmured, glancing at Dark Link as they moved forward.

"We're looking for the evacuation alarm. If it's pulled, everything under my former command flees, not mater what they're doing. Often dropping their weapons and armor. It'll make the battle much easier and in a place not so hot.

"A bell, I presume?" Selena queried, as one sharp tug could set one ringing. He did have a fair point about the upcoming battle, though ... If they were unarmored, it would spare much energy between the two of them.

"Yes. A huge bell," Dark Link said, wondering around and looking at where different ropes lead.

The mage nodded, listening for sounds coming up the long shafts. They carried easily for the most part, but many were little more than a distant echo. It seemed that someone had dug into the mountain's very core, even.
