The Shadow rolled as his opponent tackled him, jaw clenching as the hood of his cloak fell back. His crimson gaze boring daggers through the other shade, his opponent's sword caught in the sharp hooks of his pommel. Mere inches from his oddly pale throat. "I'm not that easily killed ... Do tell ... Why are you, a shade yourself, protecting one of the Light?" he hissed, barely audible even to his opponent. Before suddenly lashing out in attack, kneeing his opponent in the stomach as the aura flared once more around his main-gauche.
While he didn't know how the girl had escaped his Master, his orders were painfully clear. And the other Shadow was impeding them.

Dark Link grunted as the knee hit his stomach, knocking his breath out of him.
"I already told you," he wheezed, reaching into his pouch to start what would probably be a bad idea.

Selena's jaw clenched as the duo scuffled in their blade-lock, cobalt eyes narrowing slightly. Before a much paler aura suddenly overflowed around her, the young woman lunging forward. It bursting between the two, knocking them apart before she turned on the apparent assassin. "Who are you?" she hissed, startling anger and frustration poured into her tone.

Dark Link pulled out his bow and notched an arrow. "Someone who will soon cease to be a problem," he growled, firing as a blue mist surrounded the tip.

The assassin ducked as he sidestepped, biting back a hiss of pain as the iced arrow tore across the top of his shoulder. Gleaming restraints automatically frosting across his left shoulder, though fortunately not his knife arm. "Someone who has a job to do - And is irked that it's being delayed," he snapped, before suddenly teleporting again.
This time, though, there being a delayed time between his reappearance. Selena warily glanced at Derrick to see if he was unharmed, before dimming the amount of magic she was using. The energy that was being consumed.
He hadn't vanished entirely.

Dark Link spun, hearing a faint noise.
But he was too slow to avoid what he saw coming. The knife buried itself in his stomach, causing him o drop his sword in a mix of agony and shock.
The other Shadow pulled his knife back out and vanished, leaving Dark Link to bleed.
Dark Link fell to his knees and pressed his hands against the wound, eyes closed tight in pain.

Selena's eyes widened in shock, before immediately focusing to hone in on their opponent's essence. Lashing out in attack as soon as he even began reappearing, deadly accuracy slamming into his chest. The assassin was slammed into the farthest tree across from her, leaves falling as the bark crumbled in some spots. She pivoted, making a dash for Derrick.
Deep crimson stained his cloak already, and was an ever growing rosette. Something ... There had to be something she could do! Her brow furrowed as she gently touched a hand to the triple puncture, while listening to the assassin. "... I'm sorry ..." she whispered, knowing he had attained it because of her.

"Don't ... be," he said, voice choked by pain. "Fairy. In the ... bag," he added, nodding towards the pouch at his side.

"All right ..." she returned, before quickly digging through the enchanted satchel. Breathing a sigh of relief when her fingers soon brushed cold glass, before snatching it out of the bag. The cork popped out with little effort as she tilted the bottle towards Derrick, guiding the small faerie out.

Dark Link relaxed once the healing flight was over. He glanced down at the hole in his tunic and his bloodied cloak.
"Blast. This was my best outfit," he grumbled.
