The assassin never had time to recover. It was just one surprise after the other. First, Kitty, and that other girl he'd tried to kill a while ago. Then, the assassin he'd met. Then the enemy boss, his target, coming and interrupting his fight. Next thing you knew, his boss would come in and whack him over the head for not being subtle enough in his infiltration or some pointless crap like that.
"Wha-What?" he asked, stumbling back against the wall, now completely surrounded by the enemy. Blood was running down the side of his lip, but his cracked rib didn't hurt as much as it was supposed to since he'd grown immune to most pain. It did bother him a bit, though, as he had an uncharacteristic repulsion concerning his own blood.
Inazuma was at his side in a second, growling, hairs bristled, glaring lightning at the man that was advancing, now halfway across their battlegrounds.
Before he could even figure out a means of escape, the door at his side also opened, his own boss walking in, wearing business clothing. His face was finally visible in the light, and it'd been so long he'd actually seen those hollow, scary black eyes that the blond had actually forgotten what they looked like.
The first thing he felt, out of astonishment, that is, was a quite literal whack across the head that had him clutching the spot that hurt and growl.
"You were slow. I had enough time to even get here before you completed your mission. If you're losing your touch, we can simply go through training again, if you like." the man with graying dark brown hair snickered, advancing for the enemy.
"No thanks, I'm cool." Sabaku simply narrowed his eyes, still very confused, simply reduced to rubbing the side of his head, watching as the two men suddenly shook hands.

The young woman was utterly confused, and not just in the sense that she didn't know what was going on. She was physically confused--her body didn't know what to do with itself, whether to protect herself or to fight, to run or to huddle in a corner. She was mentally confused as to what was happening, she couldn't keep up with the lightning-fast battle or the sudden turn of events as their two bosses mentioned an alliance. She was emotionally confused, having already had everything bad happen during the night, her life taken away, and now anger and resentment towards the boy who'd try to kill her, and fear and revulsion at Elliot.
She reached out and gripped Kitty's hand.
"Kitty....what's happening?" She asked, utterly bewildered. "What are they talking about?"
(Ugh...super short. But then again, Zor can't do much right now... >.>)

Garret's icy blue gaze seemed almost amused, taking in the scene before him. Both of the male assassins, having scored many a solid strikes against one another. The corridor would need repairs, yes. But that was pittance compared to what they were capable of accomplishing, with the entire quartet at their disposal. But it seemed that Kitty was barely standing.
A bare smile curved the business man's lips, knowing what his son had done to cement the night's events. It was not his concern so long as she was alive. But it seemed that Kitty had finally crumbled in the palm of their hand. Her obstinance hadn't been able to hold up, the entire time. She had a will of steel - But even steel could splinter. Glancing over to the man that had become his "business partner", nodding to them.
"Our team, as you now see it," the salt-and-pepper haired man said with a plain gesture, though amusement seemed to dance in his cold eyes. All of them were battered. But they would recover.

"Would somebody please explain what's going on and what in bloody hell she's in here for?" Sabaku stomped his foot impatiently and pointed at Kitty, not paying attention to Zora. He didn't want to see the hatred in her eyes, he was sure he'd never forgive himself if he did.
"Simple, you see, Garret and I decided to put our differences aside and join forces to accomplish our missions." his boss smiled like it was nothing at all.
"You must be kidding." the teen was this close to gaping.
"No, quite not, actually. Also, since we've joined forces, you now belong to my dear friend as much as you belong to me." the older man shrugged.
"Oh, no way in hell. Keep dreaming." the blond seethed and turned around. "Belong to you? What a pitiful joke." he took a few steps towards the door and suddenly lurched, crashing against the door, panting as he used his hands to keep himself steady.
"Ah, you must still be recovering from your little accident earlier, ne, Saba-kun?"
"I won't tolerate you calling me that. Or calling me anything at all. Just shut your damn mouth and do the world a favor." he waited a couple of silent seconds for his breath to steady, then slammed the door open. "I'm gonna find the exit. Inazuma."
The Luxray was at his side in mere seconds, looking up at his caringly. Together, they exited and slammed the door shut behind them.

"What....what is happening? Why are you joining each other?" Zorayda didn't know the first thing about this company or what they were doing, and now they were adding another to their ranks? Joining two groups, obviously for a single purpose, but what? She watched the boy assassin's back as he stormed out, his luxray following close behind. She glared at the pair, still harboring anger and resentment towards the boy for nearly killing her and towards the electric lion for hurting her precious Eeve. But, it wasn't something she was entirely unable to forgive....eventually.

Kitty's brow arched as the exchange continued, as if it were perfectly normal. Knowing the assassin's boss. She'd seen him before, several times. Business partners, Garret had called him. But they had a very contorted sense of business.
Swallowing painfully as the conversation continued, though her jaw clenched as Garret nodded in agreement about owning them. Glaring daggers at him, her jade gaze almost murderous. Almost. Still shaken from the night's events, even as it faded to dawn. One hand gripped the door frame, knuckles turning white from the force of it. Garret ignoring Zora's question, only meeting Kitty's gaze.
"Escort Moonlin to her room ... She will need rest to adjust. I suggest that you make use of your day off of training tomorrow, Kitty."

"Dumb idiots." the teen ruffled his blond hair as he exited the next room. "Even dumber for building this place like such a friggin maze." he sighed, looking around. Every single room looked like one another and he couldn't even tell if he was going in the right direction. "Inazuma, can you light up the path for me?" he sighed.
The Luxray nodded and closed his eyes for a second, whipping them open right afterward, activating his x-ray vision. After a while of searching for any exits, he turned his vision off and bounded towards one of the four doors available. Sabaku followed silently, trusting his Pokemon to lead them out of this hellhole.

"I....I...." Zorayda put a hand to her head, the events of all of everything finally catching up with her. Her head swam and she stumbled a bit. "I need some sleep." She looked to Kitty, her blue eyes circled with the dark color of exhaustion. She'd had a hell of a night, from catching a new pokemon, to watching her friend kill a man, to discovering that she was a controlled thief and assassin, to becoming controlled herself, and now, another powerful man had control of her as well, and the boy who had tried to assassinate her the day previously was becoming an ally of theirs.
"Just...wow. Please take me to my room now..."

The two companions walked in silence, surprisingly not meeting anyone as they simply exited through the front door, ending up outside. A light breeze ruffled the leaves in the trees facing the hideout, blowing a couple of them into the assassin's long hair. He had to shake his head to let it drop to the ground, then promptly stepped on it as he set out again.
"Where should we go now?" the teen asked, shoving his hands in his pockets as he walked.
Inazuma made a displeased noise, clearly saying he had no clue.
"Well then, I say we pick one of these trees and try to catch some sleep. Today has been hectic, after all..." he yawned and patted a tree trunk next to him sleepily, deciding to take that tree. He took Inazuma under his arm and silently started climbing, lying down at the top, inside the crook of the trunk. Inazuma gently curled up on his chest and closed his eyes while his master idly looked at the moon, eyes feeling heavy. "And something tells me it's only the beginning..." he whispered again, closing his eyes peacefully.

Kitty nodded silently after a moment, releasing the door handle. "All right. Lets go," she murmured, taking the purple haired girl by the arm. Trying to get her moving without yanking on her, both of them sore enough without the extra force. Quietly leading the young woman down the maze of corridors, muscle memory leading the battered thief more than her mind. The latter almost numb, tear reddened jade eyes blinking closed as they walked.
It was perfectly clear she was beyond redemption. But ... Zorayda hadn't been truly caught in their web yet. Maybe she could do something, anything, about it. She couldn't let her first friend in years, become the same pawn that she had. A shaky sigh escaped her lips, combing her fingers through her shoulder length black locks. The movement earning a wince from her, muscles screaming in protest still.
But the walk to their rooms was painfully quiet, even with the absence of their 'owners'. Each lost in their own thoughts, it seemed. Kitty finally came to a stop just outside a door, before pushing it open. "... Do you want me to stay with you for tonight?" the young woman asked softly, green eyed gaze falling to the floor. Zorayda didn't deserve this.
Murder and thievery with a pretty picture.
