( OOC Thread.) Wind whipped past the young woman's face as her skates whirred against the cement, a small smile touching her lips as a gloved hand snagged a light pole, easily spinning around the corner when she let go. Her onyx locks fluttered past her shoulders with the breeze, only to have her moments of bliss interrupted by the harsh ringing of her PokeGear. Kitty's breakneck pace slowed to a glide through the nearly vacant city streets, flipping the small machine open with a sigh. "Yes, sir?" she queried quietly, jade eyes now staring at the ground as she coasted along. "I received your latest expenditure's proceeds, Kitty. However, I noticed something was missing ... As your efforts proved insufficient, next time you fail, Elliot shall be accompanying you," Garret said calmly, tone unperturbed but carrying hints of promise. The teenager stifled a cry of frustration, resisting the urge to drop the PokeGear and take off. She'd just gotten rid of that pervert! Steeling her voice to be a mirror image, however, she resisted her childish impulses. The tracking technology in her necklace would allow him to see wherever she went, and the chain was near impossible to break. "... I understand, sire. Have you another reason for calling?" she inquired quietly, pushing off with a skate as she nearly came to a halt. Cobblestones vibrated underneath the wheels, one of the only other audible sounds, what with Celadon city still waking up to greet the day. Lamp lights were slowly being turned off behind various windows as the sun rose, warming the somewhat cool area. The young woman's dark jeans and tank top only caused her to blend with the early morning shadows, though, making her nearly impossible to see aside from her bare arms. "Curb your tongue. Elliot will be the one to bring your next orders, as they are not to be spoken when lines could be tapped," Garret returned shortly, before abruptly ending the call. The dial tone resounded in Kitty's ear, but was quickly cut off when she snapped the gear shut. Wonderful. Just wonderful. Kitty's gloved hand slid the gear back onto her belt as she continued, but her irritation was painfully obvious behind her jade gaze.

Soft footsteps on the forest floor were drowned out as the gently pouring rain clattered seemingly noisly around the man. Hands in his black shorts' pockets, he was whistling a merry tune, regardless of the extremely depressive atmosphere around him. The steady drops of water, gentle, yet irritatingly constant, had already forced his navy blue t-shirt to stick to his body, making the small holes of his fishnet shirt to appear from underneath.
He suddenly stopped in the middle of the small clearing, stepping in a small puddle and drenching his black shoes, and his whistling stopped. His hands slowly slid out of his pockets and one of them quickly rose to push some of his drenched hair out of his face. Just as the dark blonde strands were cleared, he finally opened his eyes, a deep red colour piercing through the rain and staring at the endless trees.
"Annoying, isn't it?" he finally spoke, sighing out. "I've never liked the rain." he looked down as something stopped at his feet. "Do you, Inazuma?"
There was a short cry of displeasure, and the man smiled as he kneeled to be at the height of the Pokemon at his feet. The navy-blue and yellow streaked Pokemon looked up at his master with beady eyes, purring softly.
The man laughed as he slowly caressed his Luxray's head, making it pur harder. He then stood up and faced the trees again.
"Come on, Inazuma. We shouldn't be too far from the next town. There, we'll complete our task, and then take some time off, what do you say about that?" he asked, talking to his Luxray.
The Pokemon stared up at his master, and just as the latter started walking again, it nodded softly and trotted right back up to his side.

Kitty unstrapped the inline skates off her boots, tucking them in her pack as she straightened. The onyx tressed trainer glanced up upon feeling cold droplets pelting her head, before breathing a sigh. Continuing along as she shoved her hands in the pockets of her forest green jeans, head bowed. It'd be best not to bring Sagira out when the rainfall was coming their way, as the dainty persian and longtime friend detested coming out to only get immediately soaked. However, that did not mean the menace floating overhead had to stick around. One hand slid back out of her pocket, grabbing at the ultra ball hooked on her belt.
"Why must you continue to follow me? Haven't you done enough to please him yet?" she hissed at the air, jade eyes flashing dangerously in the oddly dark morning. A wisp of violet gas appearing, followed by a semi-solid spherical body. The gastly simply chuckled at her, amused. As if to say 'I do not belong to you. Get over it'. But he could speak. He was just choosing not to. Hanging around to see if he 'needed' to preform was he was sent along to do, again.
"Pft ... I wish you'd go bother someone else," she said acidly, glaring at the ground as she walked. The forests surrounding Celadon were now coming into sight, meaning she might be able to hide from Elliot a little while when he arrived from his misson.
"Ah-ah-ah ... You know better than to take that tone with me, Kitty Cat," Gair teased from overhead, only to have a gloved hand swat through him. A frown of displeasure formed on the ghost-type's mouth as he reformed, glaring at her. But also remembering his own orders, but clearly considering forgetting them.
"I am somewhat less than amused."
"Odd, because I find this all too amusing."
"Only because you have a sick sense of humor."
"Contorted, not sick. Learn the difference."
At that, she stopped mid-stride to glance up at the ghost. His pointless banter was only getting under her skin. "I am not the one that goes around possessing people for the thrills," she stated bluntly, dark fringe now plastered to her head as the rain turned into a downpour. "Now shove off," Kitty added, ignoring the hissing and cat-like howls the ghost was making at her back. That pokemon was just insane - Who could possibly jump moods so quickly?

"Well, this royally sucks." the blonde groaned as he stepped back, studying his predicament. He finally sighed in hopelessness. Next to him, his Luxray seemed to sweatdrop as he bit his leg gently and started pulling his feet from in the bog.
The man made a little more effort and finally, his leg came out, coated in mud from the toes to his mid-calf.
"Not the best idea to get out in this weather, huh Inazuma." the blonde snickered as they kept walking. "But just imagine, once we're out, we can take some nice naps, then shower, and walk around town a bit, and wow, it'll be great." the teen dreamed with a sigh.
His companion seemed to sigh and rolled his eyes as they kept advancing.
The silence created by the pouring rain was broken through as his Poketch suddenly rang. Startled, he flinched and fumbled around, bringing it out and almost dropping it with his slippery hands. With a heavy sigh, he cleared his throat and opened it.
"Sabaku no Akaiame, master assassin of the Sinnoh region, at your service."

Striding through the dripping underbrush, it wasn't long before Kitty's slender frame was soaked through and through since she had no extra layers. But the cold was helping calm her temper, one that was threatening to boil over. Years worth of stress and anger combined was hardly good for one's health, after all. Especially combined with a master like Garret, and then his son. Promptly clapping a hand to her face upon hearing Gair making up limericks and idiotic little ditties, promptly tossing an arm up to knock a branch out of her way as she went under it. The same branch promptly smacking through Gair's gas body. When would he take a hint?
"For the love of Arceus ..." she muttered under her breath, shaking her head. Promptly hitting the button on Sagira's ball, now that they were out of the drenching downpour. A flash of scarlet briefly lit the trees, before the pale lioness joined her companion in the wood. Promptly nuzzling affectionately against her wet leg, purring slightly. Shooting a pointed glare at the annoying ghost-type, before one of her ears twitched. The undersized feline cocked her head slightly, before twining around Kitty's legs and bounding off.
The young woman chuckled, before running after her. It had been a while since they'd gotten a chance just to spend time together.

The man snapped his Poketch shut with an irritated growl. His Luxray promptly looked up, staring at him questionningly.
"Yep, second assignment. A leader, this time, too."
The Luxray made a whining noise just as his master put his device back in his pocket with a weary sigh.
"Unfair, I know, right? We work out butts off, but we barely get anything to spend on fun. It's always about survival." his cheery look suddenly disappeared and melted into a grim one as he stared at the forest floor.
Just as his companion was about to lick his knee as comfort, his cheery look suddenly returned and he smiled. "RIGHT~ LET'S GO SPEND STUFF, GET SCOLDED FOR IT AND BRUSH IT OFF~" he laughed as he paced off quicker than usual, leaving his Pokemon to roll its eyes in amusement and follow behind.

The young woman slid down the hill after Sagira as the persian bounded off, trailing a hand along the grassy slope. A spray of water followed her hand and boots, leaving a streak of mud in the latter's wake. Kitty barely securing her balance as she met the bottom of the hill, only to suddenly erupt into a coughing fit as Gair slid through her chest. Raising a hand to her mouth to stifle the sound, she stiffened upon feeling wet warmth coating her palm. Terrific. This was the third time. And each time he toyed with her body, the more difficult it was to heal. At this rate, though, she'd have to go back to the base before it was all said and done ... All the more chance for more ill fortune to happen.
Kitty smeared the blood on her hand onto her jeans, glaring at Gair as Sagira padded back up to her. Gently stroking her longtime friend's ears in a reassuring manner, smiling slightly. "It's all right, Sagira. I'll be fine," she said quietly, but hugged the lioness when Sagira gently butted her head into her human's shoulder. It was no wonder the elegant Classy Cat was concerned, as she had barely recovered from Gair's last bout of spitefulness when he did it again. But at this rate, Garret would be the death of her.
All because of one stupid mistake almost a decade ago.

"Hey, I think I can see city lights!" the assassin cheered excitedly as they reached a field. Beyond it was a slope, and after that, some more trees and the city was right there.
His Luxray stopped for a moment, gaped, and then let out a small noise of content.
"Okay then, let's not give up now that we're so clo-"
A sudden shock ran through his mind, shutting him up effectively. He suddenly stopped, as did his Pokemon, and he furrowed his thin brows.
He suddenly moved and jumped into the shadows of some trees, pushing himself against the wet trunks, blending into the shadows. His Luxray, although yellow-streaked, also almost completely disappeared in the shadow of a nearby tree as they both erased their breaths and closed their eyes, trying to track and forsee any local movements. The first and second rules of being an assassin.
"Someone's coming. We can't be discovered." he warned as he became still as a rock.
A small delay passed, and suddenly, he sensed a few feet thudding on the wet grass. Making sure he was absolutely concealed, he opened his eyes and directed his wary gaze at the clearing.
Soon, there was panting, and the sound of about six feet. "A person and a four-legged Pokemon", he decided, judging from the weight of the steps.
They were almost past, when suddenly, his Luxray gave out a shrill cry and promptly collapsed, exposed.
His breath hitched as he worriedly looked at his Luxray, wondering what was wrong. The only time he actually collapsed like that was either when he was too weak to go on, which happened quite rarely, or when he came too close to ghost-types, and in his defence, it was a very justified reaction.
But there were no ghost types around... Were they? Now realizing the footsteps had stopped, he cursed under his breath and slowly turned towards the clearing.

Kitty paused when Sagira drew back, before slowly standing. Watching the lioness' movements as she sniffed at the air, the persian's whorled tail slowly twitching with each breath. Her fangs gleamed in faint rays of light, water droplets gathering on her damp pelt with every step through the underbrush. Sagira's dagger-like claws suddenly extended, glaring at the trees across the glade. She'd found something.
The young woman subconsciously rubbed the blood on her jeans further out, as to make the substance less obvious. If it was a threat, then showing weaknesses was the same as slitting her throat. She'd learned that much from Elliot, as much as she hated to admit it. The pervert was more than proficient in his Arts, as she learned with every sparring match. Biting back another cough as she shot a glare where she knew Gair was, overly familiar with the ghost's presence by now. Her jade stare telling the menace more than needed to be said. That he'd better stay out of it, and not tattle to Garret.
"You may as well come out."

The assassin sighed as he realized there was no way out. The only way he could get past this obstacle without seeming suspicious is acting innocent. Exactly what he did best.
He slowly bent down and picked his fainted Luxray up, caressing it and whispering comforting words to its ear, before taking a deep breath and walking out.
The two faced each other for a short while until the male suddenly grinned brightly, contrasting with his drenched-to-the-bones-kind-of-wet form.
"Why hello there~"
