The young woman's brow arched at his suddenly jovial mood, feeling anything but that joy. She knew she was in a bad mood, but what she had to 'look forward to' wasn't exactly enhancing it. "Erm ... Hello. Are you new here?" she asked after a moment, glancing over the blonde man. His clothes were definitely abstract, and somewhat out of place considering Celadon's environment. Even if they were outside of the city, it did seem kind of odd.
She tapped the heel of her boot against a wet root as she glanced over his electical lion, noticing it was limp and unmoving. "Sagira, want to lend a paw?" she queried, causing the lioness to tilt her head. "I know you're not an electric type, but the rain probably didn't help the luxray any," Kitty added, causing the gem-encrusted feline to nod in understanding. After being partners for nine years now, they rarely had true disagreements. And even what with they'd been drawn into, they weren't heartless.
"The name is Kitty, by the way. Yours?" the young woman inquired, brushing her dark fringe off her face as she walked closer. Determining if he was a threat or not, gauging every bodily reaction. Watching his chest and eyes for any hints, any sudden movements.

"Oh, Inazuma's just..." he looked around, searching for anything that might have made his pokemon uncomfortable to the point of fainting. A look of worry flashed on his face for about a second, but then his jovial attitude returned immediately. "Tired. Yeah, he's tired. We've been walking in the rain for a long time now, after all."
Seeing as the woman still wasn't speaking, he continued.
"I'm from Sinnoh, you see, and I was sent here for a specific goal, but I'm afraid that... I got somewhat lost in these woods. I think the nearest town is right past this slope, right?" he asked, shaking his head like a wet puppy to try and wring some water out of the bangs sticking to his face. "But why are you here? I figured I was the only one crazy enough to decide to take a stroll in the rain in a totally random forest at these hours of the morning." he laughed, feeling awfully curious about this woman.
She looked normal on the outside, but an omnious presence was wafting all around her. Being a trained assassin, the boy easily discerned it, even as he kept his grinning facade up.

That he did not tell her his own name did not go unnoticed by Kitty, but she let it slide visibly. But her curiosity was piqued. He must have heard her. Cracking a wry smile at his dog-like motion and at his sheepish question, before swinging over a root to the lower section of the slope. She landed lightly and with practiced skill, but stopped a few feet from the equally soaked wanderer and his pokemon.
"Well, I needed to take a walk. It wasn't even sprinkling when I started, but ..." she waved a hand in the air, trailing off as the downpour finished her sentence for her. "Pretty obvious what it's doing now. But, yeah, Celadon isn't far from here. A fifteen minute walk, I'd guess," Kitty acknowledged, although still taking in every detail of the young man. Her stance idle, hands hanging at her sides. But prepared to move in an instant. "Need any help getting there, or are you good?"
She suddenly glanced up, glaring at a seemingly empty pocket of air. Hissing something under her breath, shaking her head. A faint curse audible under the rainfall, though. "Well ... I may have to take my leave in a little bit," she said, tone somewhat apologetic as she idly sidestepped. A wisp of cold air sliding by them. Kitty stiffening.

The blonde raised a brow at her sudden change of mind, but let it slide. His priority was to find out what had made his beloved friend and companion collapse so suddenly, and why some kind of a dark aura was floating around this girl.
What surprised him, though, was the fact that the dark aura simply appeared and vanished around her, and never actually clung. That was certainly a new concept to him.
But as much as he wanted to know more about this girl, she apparently couldn't stay. So, mustering up his biggest smile, he laughed.
"Oh, I wouldn't wanna hold you up for anything in the world. Thanks for the directions, so, I guess I'll be heading to... Celadon, you said? And I'll find some help for my Pokemon, too. In any case, it was nice meeting you, Kitty." he bowed slightly as a funny way to say goodbye, and turned around, getting ready to leave.
It might have been just his imagination, but the rain started pouring harder just as he lowered his eyes and closed them for a moment.
"And... We'll meet again, Kitty."
And with that, he started walking off, his fainted Pokemon clutched protectively, head hung as the raindrops in his hair quietly splashed onto the drenched ground.

Kitty nodded reluctantly as the blonde trainer spoke, combing her fingers through her dripping shoulder length tresses. They simply slid back in place as soon as her hand dropped, however, making the motion useless. She simply shook her head after a moment, causing the longer strands to stick to her face instead. That backfired. However, her attention turned back to his words as he started walking. "Well ... It was nice meeting you, too. Good luck with your luxray," she said quietly, offering a short wave. He had seemed to have meant well, at least. About time someone did. She started to turn once the trainer vanished, only to stumble back in surprise.
Icy blue eyes bore into her jade ones, a slight smirk touching the young man's lips. Water was already beginning to drip from Elliot's golden locks, his head tilting in amusement. "Really now, Kitty Cat, you should be used to my appearances by now. I see you've met a friend, though," he observed idly, reaching to pet Sagira. Only to be hissed at. A faint scowl marred his roguishly handsome features as he dropped his hand back to his side, glaring at the Classy Cat.
"And I thought you would've known Sagira hates your guts, after some eight years," Kitty countered, tone mirroring his own. Equally amused at his continued, and constantly rebuffed, attempts. Did he honestly think, that after Sagira had seen what he did for years on end, that she'd like him? "What does it matter to you if I happened to talk to someone, though?"
"It depends on whether or not you let anything slip. I'd hate to put blood on your hands, you know," he said softly, smiling faintly now. She hadn't the stomach for murder, and he knew it. But lo-and-behold, it looked like his father had finally gotten fed up with her recently lacking output. Garret was hardly a patient man. And Kitty ... Shadow Cat, actually, had a sentence a mile long already if something happened to come out. And what with their next mission, it looked like she'd have to get over what was left of her morals.
"Let the poor man be, will you? He was just asking directions, for crying out loud," Kitty hissed, shaking her head. But was proverbially backed into a corner, as she always was. "Now do you feel like telling me what's going on this time?"
"Well, Kitty Cat, consider this your latest test."

"Nice lady, wasn't she, Inazuma?" the man chuckled as he walked away from the clearing towards the slope. "Shame we couldn't get to know each other better first."
He suddenly hung his head and faced the ground, clutching his Pokemon tighter.
"Traitor." he finally accused under his breath. "You know I can't stand ghosts and you had to go and pass out on me, huh?" he stayed silent for a moment, but once again, the silence was overruled as he grinned. "But I figure you had the right to do so. I also would have fainted, but wouldn't that be just silly for someone like me?" he laughed.
The rain now decreasing, he smiled up at the sky and sighed out in content.
"Well, no point on dwelling on things like that now, right, Inazuma? I think we'll just get over to the next town here and rest up a bit, so we'll be good as new." he comforted his unconscious Pokemon. But, seeing as the Luxray made no move to signal he was listening, the assassin sighed, shrugged and kept walking.

Her eyes narrowed in response, glaring at him. "... You want me to do what?" she asked quietly, tone ringing of indignation and broiling dislike. As much as she had been trapped into doing for them before, this took the cake.
"You heard me the first time, Kitty Cat. Now lets go. We have some preparations to take care of before nightfall," he said blandly, a strong hand suddenly closing around her arm as a now familiar psychic type appeared. Pausing as he started to jerk her towards him, the motion causing her to abruptly begin coughing again. Scarlet spattering the black sleeve of his sweater, before quickly being stiffled with her palm again. "Gair ... I know you did this again. Go back to Father until nightfall, unless you want to be in a world of pain," the blonde thief said quietly as the ghost appeared, his voice ringing of promise. Not particularly perturbed at Kitty's apparent internal injuries, but at the fact that the ghost had acted out of turn.
"Come along, then. We'd best get that treated ... And I suggest that you behave yourself, Kitty Cat. You know the consequences all too well, otherwise," he added calmly, before motioning to the alakazam. The armored psychic initiating the Teleport as his gleaming spoons crossed, a blast of energy engulfing them.
Reappearing at the doorstep of Celadon's pokemon Center, Sagira huffing a sigh of distaste at the method of transportation. Even so, bounding past the automated doors to go fetch the nurse on duty. The ghastly aura that had been clinging to the duo had now vanished as well, leaving them to appear a relatively normal group. Save for the blood, at least.
Kitty shuddering as Elliot's arm circled her waist, giving the impression of a caring friend or "significant" other. As if. He only saw her as a belonging. As he and the nurse spoke, however, she had no inclination to listen. The procedure was plain enough by now. A psychic type would find the issue, and then between it and a chansey would focus on healing it. And judging from how it had been in Johto when Gair had not only possessed her, but deliberately caused the damage, the insides of her lungs were a raw and bloody mess again. Which more than explained the reason why every breath made them feel like they were on fire.
Pausing, though, upon catching a glimpse of the trainer from the woods walking up to the healing counter. Of course they had to go to the same Center ... This would be fun, with Elliot there to lord over her.

The blonde walked for the nurse on duty, feeling sticky and cold now that he was out of the rain.
"Hey, guess what, after you're all healed up and awake, we can go to a hotel or something, take a nice hot bath, then we can go out and eat at some fancy restaurant. We can then come back and take a nice nap, and maybe before that we can take a trip to the spa and the pool or something." he whispered to his Luxray's ear.
But, seeing as he was still unresponsive, he shrugged and leaned on the counter, calling for the nurse.
"What's wrong?" the young lady asked as she came closer.
"My Luxray fainted." the blonde simply shrugged as he let the nurse closer, nonetheless clutching his Pokemon tightly.
"Oh my, it's wet." she pointed out matter-of-factly.
"We were in the rain for a long while." the trainer shrugged carelessly. "Nothing important."
"Nothing important? Your Pokemon looks traumatized, cold and wet! How could you allow such a thing?" the nurse gasped, gently taking the Luxray and putting her head over his heart.
"It's not like I got him to faint on purpose." the teen lowered his head, dripping wet and shivering. "He's my best Pokemon and my only friend, do you think I did it on purpose?" the tone of his voice suddenly raised and he clenched his fists.
"I didn't mean it that way-"
"Well I never wanted to come here anyway!" the blonde screamed, sounding like he was talking to someone else than the nurse this time. "And now, all thanks to this accursed mission, my best friend is hurt and I-"
His voice suddenly wavered and he coughed, doubling over.
"I... I-"
With one more cough, he stumbled and fell down, breathing harshly and shivering, his nose and cheeks taking a light red tint.

Kitty breathed a sigh as she pushed herself up in the bed, brushing her short locks out of her face as she did so. They'd all seen the blonde trainer collapse at the front desk, but they'd amounted his irrationality to the raging fever that had taken root. According to the talk in the background, it had lowered to normal levels now. The young woman swung her legs off the bed after a moment, slipping into her dark boots. It was already 4 O'clock according to the analog next to the bed, and by this point she knew Elliot was getting bored. And when he was bored, things never went well for her.
However, by this time she was sure the other trainer was also conscious again. Probably ready to leave, too. The heels of her boots clicked slightly on the tile floor as she walked down the hall to the cafeteria meant for official trainers, but stopped upon noticing him. Mmmhmm. He had been ready to go, apparently. And as the metaphorical guard dog wasn't around, she might be able to at least check up on him.
The young woman slowly crossed the room to where he was standing, before lightly greeting him. Noticing that his Luxray was at least alert, even if still somewhat tired looking. "Feeling better?"

The first thing the young man realized as he woke up was that he was hungry. Also, that his Luxray was out of its own bed and curled up in his, watching him intently with tired, but caring eyes.
"Why good morning to you too, Inazuma..." the young man groaned as he stretched. His Pokemon nudged him towards the clock on the wall, and he realized it was actually 4 in the afternoon. "Well, good afternoon, anyway."
Still stretching and yawning, he got up and slipped his shoes on, feeling his head hurt. His Pokemon, happy to get back up on his legs, let out a noise of content and bounded off the bed, following his master as they both stepped out.
The first person they met was a nurse, who immediately gasped and stopped him.
"Sir, I don't think you should be up. You were down with a nasty fever and almost got pneumonia after you got here! Please stay in bed-"
"Nah, I'm fine, I've been through worse, thanks." the blonde muttered wearily, pushing her aside gently and heading for the front desk.
The nurse in the front, the same as before, noticed him and was about to say something, but shut up when the blonde smiled and handed her a card.
"Charge it on this, please."
The dumbfounded woman took the card, disarmed by his smile, and started pressing some buttons on her machine as the trainer walked off to a distributing machine. He then proceeded to leaning in against the glass and meticulously analysing everything in stock.
"Feeling better?" a familiar voice suddenly chimed in from behind.
Whipping around, the young man's surprised expression was quickly overcome by a grin as he laughed to tears. The first thing he was smart enough to utter out was simple.
"Oh my god, stalker~"
