The young woman nodded to Sagira as the Classy Cat emerged from the underbrush, purring contentedly. Said persian sat down outside of the ring as the holograms faded out, grooming a forepaw with only what could be described as satisfaction. Sagira's whorled tail swished casually as the results became perfectly clear, bits of torn blue and yellow fur resting on the tamped dirt arena. The referee immediately raised the blue flag towards them, and the announcer's voice rang out across the stadium. "And the Blue Contestants, Kitty and Sagira, are the winners! They shall move forward into the next round."
The entire crowd above them seemed roar with excitement as the trainers and pokemon moved back onto the field, shaking hands. "It was a good battle," Kitty said, nodding to the younger trainer. "I'll be looking forward to another, next time we meet up," she added, smiling.
He nodded once, before kneeling down to pet the half-conscious manetric. "That it was. C'mon, buddy. Let's go get you fixed up," the pale haired boy said, helping his thunder wolf up. It was limping for a few steps, before obtaining a normal gait the rest of the way out.
Kitty glanced down at Sagira, before turning on her heel. Striding back towards the warm-up arena, as to check up on the rest of her team. The recent talk circulating through was also interesting, however, as it had to do with more than just battling.

The battle now over, the young blonde sighed and got up.
"Well then, better go hand this in. Our turn should be coming up pretty soon, so we'll just go wait downstairs." he decided as he started walking, his undersized Luxray padding up next to him, catching a few interested glances from the people around.
They both got downstairs silently and headed for the competitor's area, where they presented their sheet and were granted access.
The teen's eyes glinted as he spotted a table with snacks laid on it, for the competitors on the side, but his Luxray, quickly noticing his gaze, bit his shorts and steered him the other way, towards the entrance to the stadium.
"Ah, you must be our next competitor." the man at the entrance said with a smile. "Prepare yourself, the battle is almost over."
"Well then, Inazuma, guess we'd better get ready." he smiled warmly down at his Luzray, who also nodded in return.
Both of them silently faced the ring until the refferee announced the winner, at which time the entrance was opened in front of them, the field lying in wait just on the other side.
"Let's go have some fun." the assassin grinned as he confidently walked through, his Pokemon smiling and trotting right back up to him as anticipation immediately started coursing through their veins.

The young woman paused as she noticed the blonde teenager, arching a brow curiously. Surprised to see him out in the open again. But then, his true identity was hidden. As was hers. Kitty's jade gaze continued to follow the assassin as he moved through the competitor's ring, but he seemed light hearted. Meaning he apparently wasn't on a mission. That, at least, was a relief in itself.
She nodded to Sagira after a moment, whom offered a light 'mreow' upon noticing Inazuma. Although both were undersized, their being of the same stature and height clearly made a difference in reception towards each other. There was hardly a reason to fear one another. And while it did remove some of the issues between their pokemon, Kitty still had to wonder. Her thoughts creating a very cute imagery on occasion.
However, as they started to walk over, the announcers called for them over the PA by his number. He'd apparently walked in just in time. "What say we go watch them, eh, Sagira?"

"Well then, let's warm up, Inazuma." the blonde nodded with a smile just as he took his position on the field, his opponent facing him. Just as the battle started, he gave a large grin.
"Roar, Inazuma!"
With a loud battle cry, the Luxray jumped to the field, posed in action.
"Wrong call." his opponent grinned deviously, throwing out a Pokeball. "Go, Quagsire!"
As the Pokemon's vague form appeared on the field, the blonde's smile only wavered just a bit. Of course he'd send out a Pokemon immune to lightning-based attacks.
Although he wasn't as dumb as he made it to be.
"Fight!"
"Inazuma, Quick Attack and Bite!" he quickly called as his Pokemon sprang into action, running forth at almost impossible speed. The Quagsire didn't have time to recollect its thoughts before the Luxray had already reached and bitten him.
"Quagsire, Earthquake!"
"Inazuma, Quick Attack and Shadow Claw!"
And it all went down like in slow motion. The ground started rumbling beneath the Pokemons' feet just as Inazuma jumped. He moved so fast that it was all a blur, but somehow, the Luxray crossed the distance between them in a couple of light leaps, and raised its claws.
The trainer could only watch flabbergasted as the electric-type's claws sank deeply into his Pokemon, sending it flying, knocked out.
"Well now that we're warmed up..." the blonde stretched with an innocent smile as the crowd watched, speechless. He pulled out his Poketch, read something and without wavering, called his Pokemon. "Let's go. The real battle starts now."
Without even waiting for the refferee to call out the winner, he turned around and left, his Inazuma trotting clamly up beside him.

They'd barely made it to the gate to the arena, when the now familiar blonde assassin had made his way back. A very quick battle, to say the least. Kitty's brow arched curiously, before turning as Ian jumped back into her arms. Sagira padded after Inazuma, before moving into a paced trot to catch up to him. The young woman smiled slightly, pleased that her lifetime companion had found a friend. The Classy Cat's purr was loud enough to catch the equally small luxray's attention, clearly enough.
"Heh, it seems we keep bumping into each other, eh?" Kitty asked, raising her hand in a brief wave so he wouldn't have to look for her. She stopped a few paces away, jacket sleeves sliding up onto her wrists as she shoved her hands in the pockets of her jeans. "Looks like you did very well in the battle, too. Congratulations to both of you," the onyx tressed thief added, nodding the duo. At least this time Elliot wasn't harping over her. They'd actually get to talk in peace.
Inwardly relieved, the young woman's smile for once seemed to hold. She heard the next match being called over the PA, and side stepped out of the way. No need to block that gate's entrance when they could talk out of the way. "How have you fared since we last saw each other?"

The blonde slowly turned around, and faced Kitty for just one moment before breaking out in a grin.
"I've been doing amazing! I travelled back to Sinnoh and back here, and seeing as I love travelling, it's been a blast. I'm just hanging around for the moment, but now that I'm warmed up from that last battle, I gotta go do something important." he laughed, quickly hiding his Poketch in his pants' pocket. "And you? It seems somewhat coincidencial that we keep meeting in public places like this."

She chuckled at his answer, nodding. "I am glad to hear that, though. We all need time to enjoy ourselves every so often," Kitty agreed, smiling. She tilted her head slightly at his question, before brushing a hand through her hair to get it off of her face again. "Well enough. But, it is indeed strange, isn't it? At times I have to wonder if someone is playing mind games with us, don't you?" Kitty asked, laughing lightly again. Although she was never really free, the freedom she had without her 'tail' around was terrific.

The blonde's eyes darkened slightly at the comment, but he shook his head and forced himself to smile again.
"I know what you mean." he chuckled nervously. "The prospect of having someone controlling you from above is kinda scary, isn't it?" he laughed it off.
"It IS scary once you know what it feels like."
"But I don't really feel that way." he lied through his teeth. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have important business. Maybe if you want, we could meet up somewhere again later?" he tried.

The young woman's smile faltered at his words, before offering a solemn nod. He too seemed unnerved by the prospect. Superstitious? Well, even if he was not, it was very possible in real life. As she had learned the hard way. "Eh, yeah, it is a bit intimidating," Kitty said in response to the first, only to pause when he backtracked and waved it off. "... Sure? Where would you like to meet, then?" Kitty asked tentatively, mentally crossing her fingers that Garret would not call and interrupt. It'd been some time since she'd just talked to someone without uncertain terms.

"We could meet right here again in... say... two hours? And then we can just walk around town or something. How's that sound?" the assassin was getting antsy. He had to leave. He had a mission to accomplish.
Even if he had spontaneously run away from home , his master would surely find a way to drag him back, if need be, and if he did get sent back there with none of his missions completed, he was pretty sure it'd get ugly.
He didn't want to see his own blood anymore. If he did, he was sure he would cry.
And Sinnoh's greatest assassin never cried.
