Selina chuckled lightly once more at the Shroud Pokemon's efforts to make his displeasure known, and at Amethyst's tone. Pure shock, not anger. "That would work for me, if you'd like. Amethyst?" the young woman queried quietly, though noticing Eva visibly seem to droop when the waterlogged eevee ignored her effort. Then her ears perked again, before diving in after him. Oh boy.

The Eevee stared at her, head just out of the water. He looked more shocked than angry that she had made so bold a move. He studied her for a moment before spurting a bite of water at her and swimming off a ways.
Amethyst bit her lip and watched carefully, ready to snatched the Eevee out at the first sign of danger. This was nerve wracking.

"Amethyst," Kaine asked softly. "Would you like to accompany Selina and I tonight? It will allow me to explain certain finer points of catching pokemon so you both can hear. Of course, if you'd rather not, that's fine as well."

Eva promptly made an odd bark-like sound that was usually connected with fennecs, as if amused. Though the young female obviously knew the dangers, she was clearly determined. She continued to dog-paddle along, though at a safe distance just in case. Trying to get him used to her company for now, it seemed. Apparently enough, Eva had made the Shroud Pokemon her future and hopeful friend. She had never met another eevee, after all.
Much like Amethyst, though, Selina was feeling her nerves being trounced on after seeing his aggression towards Koun. This was less than pleasant, to say the least.

Amethyst started when Kaine spoke, being jolted out of her watchfulness. "Yeah, sure, whatever. Dangerous moment here, in case you failed to notice the demon Eevee," Amethyst said, getting a splash to the face for that. "Thank you, I needed that," she grumbled.
The Eevee did seem proud of himself as his tail swished, creating small waves and propelling him along with little effort.
"For a land pokemon, he's certainly the swimmer," Amethyst said, looking thoughtful.

Kaine raised an eyebrow at being snapped at, but decided to let it be. He watched the Eevee a little more with less than rapt attention. Although an Eevee swimming about so was definitely unique, he did not feel the same sense of danger the other two felt. He released Gryphonn from his pokeball and watched Gryphonn's reaction as he saw the Eevee.
Gryphonn looked perplexed by seeing the Eevee in the water and hopped up on the counter to get a closer look. Gryphonn could tell something was off about the Eevee and kept a safe distance, yet he was also mesmerized by the sight of the Eevee.

Eva splashed some water at the other eevee with her tail after a moment, seeing what he'd do. If she was lucky, maybe he'd see it as wanting to play. Her atypical azure gaze was soft, but also a little curious. What was making him so aloof and uncaring, even cruel when encountering Koun?
Selina smiled slightly at seeing the duo was tolerating each other for the time, as it was an improvement. Perhaps seeing another of it's kind was helping, after all. And if all went well, and they remained in each other's company for a time, perhaps the 'demon eevee' would be on the road to purification. Eva certainly didn't seem to mind trying to get him to open up, at least. The young squirtle on the sidelines seemed to be a bit bemused, though, and tentative about going into the water. Could he sense that the other eevee was a Shroud Pokemon?

The Eevee's eyes locked on the Squirtle, instantly hardening. With a splash the Eevee powered out of the water, growling at the new rival.
Amethyst fumbled for the Eevee's ball, hoping to get it back in before another fight broke out, but she was too slow.
The Eevee lunged, growling and attacking like it was possessed, and in a sense, it was. Why it attacked the Squirtle and not the other Eevee, no one knew.

Kaine's eyes narrowed as he saw the Eevee attack and he called out, "Gryphonn, use your tail whip!"
Gryphonn's eyes went wide and he obeyed the command, his little tail connecting with the Eevee's face and sending it back into the water.
"Amethyst," he spoke calmly. "I would suggest recalling that Eevee... I don't think he's ready for other interaction yet."

Amethyst nodded, finally getting the ball as the Eevee climbed back out and recalling him. She slumped into a chair. "Crazy thing. Why did you do that? You were behaving so well, too," she sighed. She rubbed her temples.
"Ugh, why does he do that? Attacks one, ignores another, what goes on in that fuzzy head of his!" she snapped. How could she ever open his heart if he had to be kept in his pokeball?
