“Sure, I don’t mind! What’s your first class?” Reeve replied, still thinking about Rowen. He gave Zora a friendly smile, and his smile grew larger as he thought of something… “Stephen seemed to like you. He’s rarely that nice to anyone...”

Rowen sighed, looking around. She was so lost it wasn’t even funny. The school was much bigger than she had assumed. Sighing, she looked around. Where was Stephen when she needed him? “Stephen?” She whispered quietly, but the dark haired teenager didn’t appear. She shrugged. Normally, he could hear when people called him and used Shadow Travel to see what was up. He’s more than likely busy, Rowen told herself, looking around. She couldn’t shake the feeling someone was lurking in the shadows, watching her… “Come out and show yourself you coward! Instead of hiding in the shadows, scaring the girl, why don’t you face me?” She taunted, setting down her book and using a glamour spell to make sure no one saw her. “Well, well, well. If it isn’t the Warren brat,” a ghost with long black hair and dark eyes appeared. Rowen took a step back; it was Vivian.

Zorayda smiled, and Dax mewed once more before popping out of existence. He probably wanted to sleep more, in the recesses of the violet-headed girl's mind.
"Oh, thanks! It says here... 'control of inner magical auras'. Do you know where that is?" She asked, exasperated. She blushed a bit at his next comment. "Do you think so? He was a really nice person, though you guys seem to bicker," she giggled, tucking her hair behind her right ear again. The older boy was about three years her senior, but thinking about it, she remembered how handsome he really was, and how...intriguing. Zorayda shook her head roughly.
"Well... maybe we'll see each other around," she said, dismissing the topic.

Reeve nodded. “Yeah, I know where it is! Follow me!” The blonde boy started walking down the hallway, wondering if Stephen did like Zora in the sense he thought his older cousin did. ‘Reeve, shut up.’ Stephen’s voice told him silently and Reeve wanted to hit his older cousin. ‘Stop ease dropping on my thoughts,’ he shot back and could hear Stephen laughing. ‘No can do, little cousin. Remember, you might wanna be nice to me since you’re staying at my house during winter break and I can make your life a living hell,’ Stephen snickered and Reeve rolled his eyes, still listening to Zora. ‘So, do you like Zora?’ he wondered and he could almost see Stephen’s glare. ‘She’s a freshman, so I don’t know…sure she’s really pretty but still.’ Reeve grinned. ‘You’re a freshman also, ya know.’ He could hear Stephen sigh. ‘In college you dumb blonde. Anyway, I’ve got to go, so later,’ and Stephen’s presence vanished.
“Oh, you will. Believe me. Stephen always shows up whenever he wants to be annoying,” Reeve chuckled.

Zorayda giggled nervously at Reeve's comment, wondering how often she would see the dark-haired boy around the school. Though Reeve was really nice, and extremely cute--she had a soft spot for blondes--Stephen had his own natural ability to capture others' attention. She trotted quickly behind Reeve, following his lead to the class quickly, lest she be late.
"So, um... would you three like to hang out with me during lunch break?" She asked nervously, acutely aware of the fact that she was basically asking to be friends. That was usually how it worked in schools like these...

Reeve nodded. “Sure! I can only speak for myself, but I know Rowen so I’m betting she will too. As for Stephen,” he shrugged. “Maybe. He might be hanging out with Rini, Rowen’s older cousin. They’re in the same grade and school, but I have a feeling Stephen might show up. Speaking of Rowen, where is she?” Reeve looked around, frowning. It wasn’t like the blue eyed girl to be late…

“Vivian,” Rowen whispered and the ghost smiled malevolently at her, causing her to shudder. “Hi, Rowen. Long time no see! Where’s you’re pretty little boyfriend?” She taunted and Rowen glared. “Shut up, okay? Reeve’s not my boyfriend!” Vivian just snickered. “Whatever. I don’t care, but you should, because I’m back and you, Stephen and Reeve will pay for sending me to the shadowlands in the first place!” With that, the ghost vanished and the bell rang. Rowen cursed under her breath and took off for her first period.

Zorayda let out a breath that she hadn't realized she'd been holding, a feeling of relief watching over her when Reeve said 'yeah'.
"Oh, great! I don't know anybody else, yet," she said meekly, blushing. She nodded her head when he mentioned that Stephen would be there. "What do you mean?" she asked innocently. "If he has friends, why would he come hang out with us? Is it because of you guys?"
Zorayda looked confused when he mentioned Rowen, not knowing the girl well enough to know whether or not she'd be late, but looked about in concern. She waited a second, then tugged at Reeve's shirt gently.
"Let's find a seat before we're late," she whispered, and scurried off for an empty desk.

“Yeah, it’s because of Row and me,” Reeve started to say when Rowen ran in, looking freaked out. She ran over and sat down next to Reeve and Zora and Reeve frowned. “Rowen’s, what’s wrong?” he put his hand on her shoulder, forgetting about Zora for a moment. “Vivian’s back. She just appeared. Oh, Reeve, what are we gonna do?” Rowen whispered, sounding scared. Reeve wasn’t sure what to do, but he put his arm around Rowen’s shoulder, and looked at Zora. “What I’m about to say, stays between us, okay? Vivian’s, a ghost who Stephen summoned a couple of years ago on Halloween, is back. She’s tried to kill Rowen, Stephen and myself before. I have a really bad feeling that you hanging out with us at the present time might be dangerous…” Reeve left off.

Zorayda began to answer Reeve, but before she could, Rowen showed up suddenly, looking frightened. Zor furrowed her eyebrows in confusion and concern, which only deepened as Rowen mentioned a 'Vivian' that had terrified her so much. When Reeve asked to keep the information a secret, Zorayda nodded, her purple locks shimmering back and forth softly.
"Of course," she said quickly, and gasped when he told her, hands over her mouth and eyes wide. "Oh my goodness! Are you going to be all right?" she asked, reaching out to touch the blonde girl's shoulder. The teacher was now at the front of the class, preparing the lecture, and students were beginning to settle in their seats.
"Guys... maybe we can talk about this over lunch?" Zorayda whispered, giving Rowen a last look of sympathy.

Rowen nodded. “Yeah, I’ll be fine. Thanks, Zora,” she gave the purple haired girl a friendly smile. “And, talking about this at lunch would be a very good thing. Maybe Stephen will know how to get ride of her…” Rowen murmured. The teacher started drowning on and on about the proper way to Astroproject and Rowen groaned. “Oh, for God’s sakes… Hear my words, hear my rhythm, speed up this present space and time…” She said, and the clock started rushing forward, two…three hours ahead and the lunch bell started ringing. None of the other students, or even the teacher for that matter noticed the change, only Rowen, Reeve and hopefully Zora. “Oh, how I love magick,” she muttered, grinning, standing up and gathering her stuff. “Come on, we can eat in my dorm.” Reeve offered. Rowen nodded, and turned to Zora. “Is that okay with you?” She asked.

Zorayda smiled back at Rowen half-heartedly, still quite worried about this killer spirit named 'Vivian'. Would the ghost come after Zor, too, just for associating with Stephen and the others? The thought made her shiver slightly. She wasn't nearly strong enough to ward off spirits, as Reeve and Stephen seemed to be able to. She nodded at the blonde girl and tried to smile for real.
"Oh, um, it's no problem," she answered shyly.
She heard Rowen's last comment and nodded hopefully, turning forward to give the professor her undivided attention. Zor wouldn't admit it, for fear of being called a nerd, but she enjoyed her classes and learning new things about magic. The thrill of knowledge kept her eyes glued to the teacher, her mind abuzz with the thought of Rowen's stalker-ghost-thing. Hopefully it wasn't something that would come up again...
Zor heard Rowen's quiet groan and smiled slightly. It seemed that the girl didn't share the same excitement for learning as the violet-haired girl did. Zorayda shifted in her seat, when Rowen muttered something. Zor didn't give it a second thought until she noticed something strange... why was everything suddenly zooming faster, or was it just her imagination? With a blink, the bell suddenly started ringing for lunch and Rowen was smirking secretly.
“Oh, how I love magick,” Rowen stated, grinning from ear to ear as she stood and gathered her things. Zorayda looked confused for a moment, and then she understood. Rowen was able to make time go faster?! That was... that was an incredible ability!
Looking flabbergasted, Zorayda looked at the girl with new eyes. This young witch was something else, indeed. Zor composed herself quickly and nodded at the two friends' request, not wanting to be contrary or anything of the sort.
"Yeah, sure," she said agreeably, smiling as she slid her stack of books into her arms.
