Stephen chuckled. "Nice, Zora. Just ignore her. After all, she's dead. What can she do?" He laughed mockingly, but his facade didn't full him at all. Vivian laughed. "What can I do? Haha. You're either very forgetful or just plain stupid Stephen. You and Reeve think you both are so clever. I'll show you. And that dumb little blonde," Stephen glowered. "You touch Row, or Zora and I swear you won't like what happens," he said simply, the threat clear in his voice. Vivian then turned to Zora, smirking evilly. "And you...just stay out of my way and I might not have to kill you," she snickered and vanished as suddenly as she appeared. Stephen groaned, running a hand through his hair. He turned to look at Zora, smiling sadly. "Sorry about that."

Zorayda hardly heard his comment because of her fear of Vivian. The malicious spirit certainly didn't seem harmless... Vivian confirmed this fear by mocking her and Stephen directly, taunting them. Zorayda's brow furrowed when she mentioned Reeve and Rowen. Just how many people were involved exactly?
Stephen glowered. "You touch Row, or Zora and I swear you won't like what happens," he said simply, the threat clear in his voice.
Zorayda looked up at Stephen in surprise. She wasn't able to see his face, being slightly behind him, but the conviction in his voice was comforting as well as confusing. She was a stranger for him... so why would he stick up for her so much? And she was just a meager little freshman at that... probably an annoyance to an upperclassmen like him. She also couldn't help but notice how very handsome he looked when protecting her... Zorayda blushed and put her attention back on the evil ghost, wondering where that errant thought had come from.
Vivian then turned to Zora, smirking evilly. "And you...just stay out of my way and I might not have to kill you," she snickered and vanished as suddenly as she appeared.
Zorayda squeaked a little in a very unflattering way, and Dax gave out a loud screeching growl before attempting to scratch the ghost--but Vivian's ethereal body had disappeared before he could do anything to her.
'You'd better heed her, Zor...' Dax said cautiously, his hackles slowly lowering as he sat on his haunches, tail curling around his feet. 'She means business.'
Zorayda nodded at Dax's words slowly, her eyes never leaving Stephen's now.
"Can she... really do that? ...Kill people?" She asked tentatively.

Stephen sighed. "I'm not sure...I have a bad feeling she can. She almost drowned Rowen...but Row's never been a good swimmer," he trailed off. This was all his fault... "Guys!" Stephen turned to see Rowen and Reeve running towards him and Zora. He sighed in relief. Thank God those two were okay. Rowen was reckless and Reeve was practically fearless. He smiled secretly to himself as he considered the one thing that truly bothered his younger cousin--the idea of losing Rowen...speaking of her... Rowen looked mad. There was no other way to describe the green eyed girl. Stephen was mildly shocked that with the way Rowen's temper was flaring at the moment, things weren't going flying. A bad tempered witch with telekinetic powers wasn't a good thing in his book. Rowen was a really sweet girl, but when she lost her tempered, watch out. "That stupid freaking ghost! Are you two okay?" Rowen asked very quickly and Stephen just rolled his gray eyes. "I think they'd be a lot better if you'd slow down and let them speak," Reeve reminded Rowen with a smirk. "Whatever. That ghost needs to die." Rowen said firmly and Stephen laughed while Reeve just snickered. "She's already dead, Row." "I don't care! I'll cast a circle, bring her back and see how she likes being almost drowned!" Rowen said in a bitter tone.
"Yeah, I'm fine," he glanced at Zora. "You okay?"

Zorayda put her hands to her mouth at hearing that Rowen was almost drowned. She couldn't imagine... the feisty, happy girl she'd met could have been dead before Zorayda'd ever even had a chance to meet her? The thought made her shiver a little and she moved unconsciously closer to Stephen.
"I'm glad she's okay..." she said softly. Dax, reacting to Zora's emotions, began purring quietly in the silence.
"Guys!"
The purple-haired witch turned to see Reeve and Rowen coming towards them, Rowen looking fiery and angry at the sight of the evil apparition that had taunted them. Zorayda nodded at Rowen's question, but felt it was a half-truth. Zorayda felt terrified, honestly, but physically she was all right...
She couldn't help but to giggle a little at Rowen's rant.
"The first day of school and I make friends with people who have ghost problems!" Zorayda joked, laughing. Dax arched his back up in an affectionate gesture down by her calf, laughing along with her in his own way.

Reeve chuckled. "Hopefully you mean that in a good way," he teased and Rowen just nodded. "Yeah!" Stephen rolled his eyes. Flicking his bangs out his his eyes, he stated," why being friends with you two idiots would ever be a good thing, being friends with me is a epic thing," Reeve and Rowen both scowled, even though they knew that Stephen insulting them was his version of being funny. "Hey, I thought you two were gonna get lunch?" Stephen reminded them and Reeve looked guilty. "Oh, um, about that...It's Rowen's fault!" "It is not! Jerk!" "Brat!" Stephen just shook his head. Wow..would those two ever grow up?

Reeve chuckled. "Hopefully you mean that in a good way," he teased and Rowen just nodded. "Yeah!"
Zorayda giggled loudly as the three of them bickered. "Of course I mean it in a good way!" she said, laughing. Dax put his paws up on Stephen's shoe and meowed up at him happily, echoing Zorayda's sentiments. As her familiar, he would always trust those his mistress trusted.
"Hey, I thought you two were gonna get lunch?" Stephen reminded them and Reeve looked guilty.
"Oh, um, about that...It's Rowen's fault!"
"It is not! Jerk!"
"Brat!"
Zorayda's stomach grumbled loudly at the mention of lunch, realizing how hungry she really was. With that rush of adrenaline from meeting Vivian, she really needed some kind of energy... She'd just have to wait until she got home and deal with it. She pouted a little but didn't say anything, not wanting to insult her newly made friends.
"Well... what are you guys doing after school?" Zorayda asked, suddenly eager to hang out with the group somewhere. They seemed to be very nice people, and good friends to have.

Reeve grinned at Zora. Something told him that she would be a really good friend--and maybe even keep Rowen from being so reckless. He shook his head, smiling slightly. While being friends with the green eyed girl was difficult at best, he wouldn't trade it for anything. 'That's because you love her,' Stephen mocked him silently, getting a glare from Reeve.
"That's a good question," Rowen stated and then grinned. "We could go shopping!" She said in a perky voice, clapping. Stephen and Reeve both groaned at the mention of shopping with Rowen. That would take forever and Stephen hated shopping more than anything--maybe even Vivian, but that might be pushing it. "Too bad we have school tomorrow...we could have a scary movie marathon..." Reeve suggested and Stephen nodded. "Now, that's what I call fun!" He gave his younger cousin a high five.
