Selena felt his grip on her arm tighten further, yet was nearly oblivious to it. Especially what with sensing the power of the two swordsman’s' essences.
If caught between a cross-fire, it did not seem likely that she was powerful enough to put up enough of a battle.
She suddenly attempted to wrench out of Dark Link's grip. The dark warrior chuckled, amused. One sharp pull brought the young woman's petite form reeling back, colliding into him. Her diminutive size was simple enough to manipulate, when it came to terms of strength. She couldn't have been an inch taller than five feet.

Link growled and lunged at Dark Link. Knowing him well enough to know he'd worry more about himself than the girl.
Dark Link, also knowing Link well enough to know what he was up to, jerked Selena to the side, landing a strong punch to Link's face.
The crunch of Link's nose breaking was drowned out by his cry of pain due to the fact it broke. He fell to the side, clutching his nose.
"And that was with my left hand too!" Dark Link chirped. Being Link's opposite, he was right-handed.

Selena winced, the second jerking motion nearly tearing her arm from its socket. Cobalt flared once more, dredged forth from her reserve energy.
Dark Link gasped, feeling the coolness of her element. Loosing her in surprise, water dousing the heat-based shadow.
She stumbled, before loosing her balance. The young woman groaned as she hit the ground, swallowing. Selena stiffened as she pushed herself onto her hands and knees, feeling Dark Link's uncomfortably familiar essence move in front of her again.

Dark Link offered a hand out to her to help her up. "Sorry for dropping you," he said. Link growled as he stood. With or without weapons he would make Dark Link leave the poor girl alone!

She immediately turned, scrambling to her feet. The young woman slowly backed away, her petite form rigid as Dark Link followed her.
Aside from using his blade, what more could the shadow want to do? He had already violated her ... Of which Kent would not have even thought of doing. Selena suddenly shook her head, suppressing a cry of frustration. Shame now tainted her, that she had not been able to defend herself. How had he managed to truly suppress her magic?

Dark Link turned in time to get tackled by Link.
"Run!" Link shouted at Selena, wheeling away on Dark Link with his fists at the same time.
Dark Link grunted as he attempted to block the frantic punches Link was throwing. When had he gotten so good at Hand-to-Hand?!

Selena hesitated, before nodding. She sighed, a vivid blue aura appearing around her. The young woman vanished, the last glance the duo seeing was her falling to her knees.
Then it was only them.

Dark Link staggered away from Link's unconscious form, quite worse for wear. "Every day I thank my lucky stars Ganondorf made me stronger than him and not so easy to knock out," he said, his voice thick from the split lip. One eye was already swollen shut, and his right arm hung limp, dislocated from the shoulder. He had multiple cuts from a dagger Link had concealed on his person, and said dagger was still lodged in his left leg. As was such, it wasn't surprising he didn't get far before clasping still in sight of where he had fought Link.
"When Link wakes up ... I'm dead," he said, rolling onto his back and staring at the sky. He turned he head, finding the sun low on the horizon. "If the Stallchildren and Stalfos don't kill me first ..." he mumbled.

Selena paused, hearing a pain-racked moan. But the battle had finally ceased. She sighed, still crouched behind the large bush. Although the swordsman had been trying to help ... Now she felt like a coward.
Not even standing up for herself. Even when her original companions had insisted that she try to stop being so timid. The young woman leaned out from behind the leaves, pushing them aside with one hand for more view. She tensed. Dark Link was mere feet from her.

Dark Link's eyes flicked towards the movement. "Who's in a bush?" he asked, tired from the battle and blood-loss making him lose some of his eloquently.
