"Alright," Link murmured from behind the duo, turning and striding back into the downpour.
Kent and Dark Link moved around the pile of rubble after a moment, their boots unintentionally sending small rocks from a collapsed building skittering across the cobblestone as water continued to drip from the saturated material overhead. The dark warrior paused when they came to Selena, curled into a small ball and huddled against the sharp rock shards. But, already asleep.

Dark Link looked away, shame and regret creeping onto his face. "...This is my fault. I never should have let any of you accompany me," he mumbled.

Kent shook his head, lightly placing a hand on Dark Link's shoulder. "No, it is not ... There has just been too much strife, in this time and in ours," the young Knight said, before picking Selena up. With her petite form cradled in his arms, she suddenly seemed all the more vulnerable.
The dark warrior sighed, looking down. Unable to suppress the spark that was making him want to be the one holding her, to try to make up for his mistake. "We may as well get out of the rain," Kent added, walking next to him.

Dark Link followed silently. He couldn't help but think back to the day they went to the shadow temple, and remember that small part of him that whispered that it had been a bad idea.

The small group plodded through the now steady drizzle, walking towards the Inn that fellow townspeople were now coming in and out of.
