The dark warrior suppressed a sigh, before nodding to one of the archers next to him. An oil dipped arrow was held closer to the torch he was holding, a second light flaring into
the cold night air. It was soon notched. And released.

Dark Link kept his eyes closed throughout the first wave, as if he couldn't bear to watch.
Why me? Does he hate me so much to not even let me roam free? he thought.

Pain-racked cries raked at his ears, the roar of the soon leaping flames expanding to a blistering heat. The battle had begun.
Dark Link stepped back as the rest of the platoon advanced, hanging his head. At this rate, the entire town would be destroyed. Even before the second part of the strike arrived.

An idea struck Dark Link. He slipped into the shadows of the town and recalled the spell Selena used to disguise him. He prayed it would work as the string of Ancient Hylian left his mouth, praying he had enough power to cast it and still fight.

A relieved smile appeared on his lips when he felt the magic's 'touch', his appearance changing. He had succeeded.
Now, he would fight back.

He hid his hat and plunged into the fray, assisting the soldiers in fighting off the troops, slaughtering many of them.
"What's the matter?" he taunted a Darknaut, his voice different, slicing it's armor off with ease. "Can't handle a simple Hylain with a sword?"

An angered growl came from the creature's throat. It suddenly threw the claymore at him, unsheathing the slender dual katanas.

Dark Link chuckled, parrying and dodging until he saw an opening and then attacking. I wonder where Kent and Saruna are, he thought. Then decided to try telepathy, even without an item of theirs in his hand.
~Kent? Kent can you hear me?~ he thought, deciding he was safer than Saruna.

The Knight suddenly jerked back, narrowly avoiding a gleaming longsword. Dark Link's voice had resonated in his mind. Had he caused this?
Castle Town going up in flames, and under siege?

~Kent, are you in Castle Town? If so, I'm sorry. I didn't want to do it! Even if you can't hear me, I need to say this. If you have a bone to pick with me, find a brown haired Hylain man with green eyes and I'll let you do as you wish,~ Dark Link thought, finishing off another Darknaut.
