Kent sighed, ducking under the oncoming blade once again. As if he would be able to find the dark warrior in the current mess that was Castle Town, even if he did 'have a bone to pick'.
At the moment, though, he was more concerned as to what had happened to Selena.

Once Dark Link had a chance to get away, he did. He cut his side and let blood bleed onto his hat and tossed it at the feet of one of Ganondorf's minions. "Tell your master that whoever tries to take this place will meet the same fate as Link's shadow!" he growled.
The Stalfos picked up the hat and did run off when the strange Hylian swung his sword at him.
"HE'S DEAD! DARK LINK HAS BEEN SLAIN!" Dark Link shouted, to try and get the minions to retreat.

Those that heard him soon made a hasty retreat, others beginning to trial after the first fools. He turned, sharply raising his blade to counter one of the braver warriors.
His eyes widened in shock - Cobalt boring into his gaze.

Saruna gasped. He was her friend! He had risked everything to get them out safe and now he was dead! She gave a war cry as tears of sorrow and rage pored down her cheeks, cutting into the minion brave/stupid enough to continue fighting with renewed hate and viciousness.

Dark Link jumped back, easily evading the rapier that was swung at him. From once glance, it was clear that the 'conditioning' had not gone well. He swallowed, seeing the hot tears trickling down her already bloodied face.
Her garments were stained with the same thick scarlet substance, in far too many places. The young woman's balance was already wavering, still weakened. They had forced her into battle already. Only a week had passed.

The dark warrior slowly moved forward - Lunging when she stumbled forward, falling against him. Wet warmth immediately tainted his garments, pain-racked coughs audible as she tried to push away.
Dark Link immediately tightened his grip, gently pulling her back. "... It's alright ..." he whispered, feeling her petite form trembling against him. Also knowing what Gannondorf had intended: Using the battle to finish changing her.
With any fortune, a fragment of her former self still existed on the surface ... But it would take some time to unearth the rest of her.
He sighed, still holding Selena's battered form to him. The fire continued to roar around them, proclaiming it's might as sparks showered the cobblestone with collapsing buildings.

The Song of Storms drifted over the crackle of fire, rain pouring down and drenching the area.
"Selena, I'm so sorry," he whispered, stroking her hair, his tears of regret mingling with the rain.

Dark Link simply stood there with her, now waiting in silence. It would be too much to expect a true response ... Not with her current state.
He suddenly tensed, realizing his own illusion had vanished. The dark warrior bit back a curse as a sword touched the back of his throat. "Need I know what you did this time, Dark Link?" the Hero of Time's voice inquired, calm under the torrential downpour.
